Not exactly suicide, but Slow Damage does have a hell lot of really dark, heavy themes like self-harm, masochism/sadism, abuse, absurdly unhealthy relationships, stockholm syndrome, and stuff like that. Hope you like video games, 'cause it's a visual novel instead of something you could watch.Whats a good movie or anime that romanticizes suicide, preferably an anime movie, or short anime?
ooh thank you sounds interestingThe Sunset Limited. It romanticizes suicide from beginning to end. Or rather, Tommy Lee Jones romanticizes it. Samuel L Jackson's character vilifies it. It's basically a discussion between a pro lifer and ctb enthusiast from beginning to end.
Man, I still need to finish this oneI know it isn't an anime, but I feel like Goodnight Punpun does? But as I grow older, the more of an aversion I have for it and don't want to identify with it.

I remember reading the first volume back in 2022 but I ended up dropping it because it was a little too depressing....might pick it up back again. Not really anime, but Boy's Abyss is a manga series that rather does romanticize suicide. Overextension of the series by the mangaka is considered by some to have diminished its plot but I still think it's a rather decent romanticization of it, even if the ending is ambiguous.
