• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

When I had a psychosis, one aspect of it was that the world seemed to be amenable to my thinking. What I mean by that is by thinking you could change the world to your liking, of course, you could remove any suffering, any needs. In that moment, the world for me was de facto a paradise, from my point of view the world would be perfect this way and I would perfer it to nothingness. I'm bitter that I live in this harsh reality and know that it could be much more better.

I don't like void, it's scary, the thought of being forever gone and not conscious is just awful to me, that's why I'm still not dead yet, if only I had enough courage man

a world where you can make your own world sounds much better

I just want nothingness, to never suffer in this cruel, torturous existence ever again is all I hope and wish for, ceasing to exist truly would be the only relief for me, I'd never wish to exist under any circumstances. To me existence just feels like a terrible mistake that just causes endless amounts of suffering all for the sake of it, I just want peace from all the pain and suffering, to be conscious at all is such an undesirable burden to me.

Sounds fun but I expect the practicality of it wouldn't be. Assuming there are other people in this world and you allow them to have free will- how do you please everyone? Maybe you also give them the power to define their own reality. But often in this world, one thing happens at the expense of another. I'm not sure how you eliminate that completely. Say, a bunch of people enjoy playing football but, no one wants to lose. So, it becomes a game that no one can win. Will people still want to play or watch it?

It's like, there are so many things I hate about this world but, when I try and envisage how it could be different, I get stuck.

Yes there is an issue with more thinking entities. In my psychosis, there were many worlds which were constantly forking and there was a complex protocol to connect with other thinking entities to check that you're reasonable, basically if you were not reasonable you were just stuck with philosophical zombies.

So in practice you mean being your own God? Of course I choose this option.
The possibility of creating your own reality sounds very exciting.

I personally fear nothingness and if there is nothingness after our death, then it is a very bleak prospect.
Also, nothingness completely eliminates the meaning of the entire universe. In such a scenario, literally everything makes absolutely no sense. Tragedy.

We wouldn't know nothingness, the same as we didn't know about anything about all this before we were born. Having said that I do believe the soul or consciousness (whatever you want to call it) leaves the body after death and lives on. But since we all love a good mystery thriller, let's just wait and see.

I can think of nothing more unsettling than a frictionless world.

Would I even be discontent with the world if the world made me unable to be discontent?

It sounds indistinct from being drugged or given a lobotomy.
