Discussion What would you do in a panic attack?

I usually get panic attacks in crowded places, so I don't have the option to go to my room and not come out. Really, the only thing I can do is take my anxiety meds and avoid crowds. Since I usually shutdown instead of meltdown when I have a panic attack, no one notices.

i have panic attacks so much that i mostly just wait for it to be over.

kind of like the first time i used a pipe and accidentally got a butane high. i thought my brain was leaking out of my ears. i just quietly walked away and jumped in the shower until it was over. i didnt even tell the person i was with it was happening XD

Discussion What would you do in a panic attack?

Well?

Scream into the ether

Question your very existence

Have a meltdown (like sobbing your eyes out)

Emotionally shutdown (like refusing to function and possibly get sent home)

Hole up in your room and refuse to come out

Become aggressive to mask your fear

Yell at others to leave you alone

Self harm (any type)

Try to make yourself sick and/or actually be sick

Use less words and/or become nonverbal
