SameI would prefer shotgun because it is instant, but I don't want to leave that kind of mess behind, so Nembutal for now out of courtesy.
But with a shotgun, you also don't know if you're dead or not either.Always Shotgun. It has always been my dream method since years or my personal holy grail of suicide. Because while pulling the trigger, I would be in control and this might be the only time in my life that would give me a certain sense of power over my reality! With N I guess my fear is loosing consciousness and maybe never knowing if you are dead or not.
Yes, good postN in a heartbeat. I'm terrified of flinching when pulling the trigger and blowing my face off instead my brains.
And this is a very real concern. I go to the range regularly. And a typical range trip involves ~500 rounds. And despite this - I still flinch / jerk ther trigger and see flyers every now and then.
And if you flinch with a shotgun, you can be sure someone will hear and try to save you.
Thats the million dollar question - if done correctly!Shotgun. It is instant if done correctly. And i migh throw up the N and fail.
Ofcourse. You are 100% correct. But after all the successrate with a shotgun is 98% which is very high. (85% with a handgun i think). And if i shoot myself with a shotgun and not die Instantly, if Somehow nobody finds me ill probably bleed out pretty quickly. Idk i just feel like atleast for me i would have a higher successrate with a shotgun than N. I know that N is very effective and i like the method but i would Still choose a shotgun over N any day. I know that if i fail with a shotgun its not gonna be a good time but thats a risk im willing to take.Thats the million dollar question - if done correctly!
If not done correctly - the results are horrendous. I shoot rifles and handguns regularly. Even in the stress free environment of a range - i flinch / slap the trigger every now and then resulting in flyers.
When you are stressed, with adrenaline pumping - will you be able to point the shotgun with steady hands and calmly squeeze the trigger? Instead of jerking at it?
Note: I am not trying to question your abilities or put you down in any way. I am just trying to point out the downside of failure with a shotgun.
N is guaranteed to be peaceful, it would be nothing like whatever poison you took. Most poisons will cause an excruciating death but N and similar barbiturates are the exception which is why they're so revered. But I can also understand why a phobia of poisons would make it harder for you to drink N, I'm sorry you had to go through that.I'm a man, so I'd choose a shotgun, because that's manly.
I'd choose a shotgun because after the poisoning I have a phobia of poisons. I never again want to experience what I experienced during the poisoning. It was pure hell. I'd literally rather die in a guillotine. Anything is better than poison.
I've seen a number of shotgun/handgun suicides. It's pretty much a no-brainer if done correctly. Point it at the center mass of your brain, and it's instantly lights out. That guy who just blew his face off clearly never checked his stance in a mirror.Thats the million dollar question - if done correctly!

With the quickness of a guillotine, you get "up to" 20 or 30 seconds of consciousness after the fact. At least according to the reports. Heads have blinked to answer prearranged questions, and have looked around at the people watching them. There's interesting literature on that topic.I'm a man, so I'd choose a shotgun, because that's manly.
