What work do you do ?

I work as a draftsman. My position is of a BIM Modeler . I make engineering drawings using software and this is such a boring repetitive job, I try my best but still the drawings are not up to the expectations of my manager .
Most importantly this job needs an eye for details which I don't have , I end up making so many silly mistakes.
Wish it wasn't this way

Why did you choose to be a BIM Modeler?

I am a civil engineer, I have masters in structural engineering. But my mind is too weak to be a structural engineer. I worked on a construction site it was very toxic and rustic for me, I am a soft sensitive person.
So I chose BIM Modeler job as it gives me a office job and less toxic people and less responsibilities , but I am not even capable for this.

I work in science. Right now I work for a big, soul-sucking corporation. Before, I was in academic research which was frustrating because 90% of the research we do will never see the light of day. You can spend years doing a good experiment but if no journals like your stuff, it never gets out there. Even if it does get published, there is a slim chance someone sees/reads it. Made me feel like all my work was for nothing.

I work part time in a dried goods store. You know, rice, lentils, beans, spices.

I feel frustrated because I earn very little and I don't feel really passionate about it.

I used to work at an office and it felt fulfilling. I would label myself a 'spreadsheet engineer' since I know programming and I can do a lot of stuff on a spreadsheet. I miss it, but I've been outside of formal employment for around 7 years already. I don't see how I could explain that gap in my resume.

I walk around doing bullshit to make myself look busy and bullshitting people so I can get them out of my hair as quickly as possible. For some reason, I get paid more than I should to do this. The thing I hate most is having to physically be there for 8 hours with zero distraction from my stupid thought loops and wasting even more of my bullshit gay life
