Yes, I was about to pass out and lost almost all my consciousness but then in the darkness I knew I could move so I did and saved myself.

And yeah, I'm intending to do partial hanging next time again. I just have to hold on the pain and lack of oxygen! It's so hard!

I meant the initial pain before passing out, and also the fear. I think that's why I didn't pass out 100%. I'll check the threads you mentioned and research more about partial hanging because that one will certainly be my chosen method.

There's something absurd about the idea of positive and negative infinity as conscious destinations based on how a unique life turned out, "choices" or "acceptance" of a particular deity. It's literally insane. It really makes me angry actually thinking that we are born into a world where we are indoctrinated into a belief about possible eternal never ending torture

most religious people haven't really considered how long infinity is

Even though I can rationally see the absurdity of everlasting hell after death (Q. What's the meaning of life? A. Well, if you don't believe the right things or worship the right God, the meaning of life for you will be infinite torment in hell, the curator of which is the all-loving creator of the universe), I still can't get past the fear that my consciousness could be sent to hell eternally.
I'm terrified of living and yet I'm terrified of what could be awaiting me after death.
Wish I'd never been born.

On the off chance there's some continuation afterwards, I plan to constantly repeat my name and images of who I am/facets of my life in my head over and over. If it's reincarnation or becoming part of some kind of big infinity or something, I want to try to hold on to as much of my identity and individuality during the transition as possible.
