• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think almost everyone has this question. I have been thinking about doing this for many months but I am stopped by the thought of what will happen to my parents, especially my mom. I am afraid that she will have serious heart disease. I feel very sorry for her but I cannot continue to suffer, my quality of life is getting worse every day. Who has a similar situation? What do you think about this?

It's hard. The saying often goes, "You pass the pain onto others." The reality that will happen is that your family will grieve your death. The only thing that helps me with this is that after we're dead, we won't know what will happen after. Also, people die every day, and the world will always keep spinning, meaning that they will have to find a way to deal with it somehow. It's very heartbreaking to have to think about this.

I get that thought; it is also the main reason I am still alive up to today. I fear that If I do it now, she wont be able to keep going and break in the preassure of it.

But I also wont stay, as she too has to accept that I cant hold out for that long just for her. So I will give back as much as I can and once the time is ripe, I will finally die the lonely, sad death I was destined to have.

Heart disease is not aquired. If she will have it, she has it now to a lesser degree.
They will be sad, possibly forever.
If you got hit by a car crossing the street, still sad.
A good, kind note will help. If they know what you are going through, it gives them perspective

I'm in the same situation. My mother has heart issues too (she takes pills for that) and I'm afraid of the consequences. But what can we do ? Did we choose to have a shitty life or traumas ? Of course it's always better if we don't CTB, if there was no suffering, no diseases, no poverty, no children being violented, but that's just reality...

Not true, broken heart disease is an acquirable disease from too much stress and depression.
It's one of a few things that would be able to take me from this life without having the mark of suicide on me...

I've seen and experienced suicide of loved ones multiple times and...after someone kills themselves, the whole family just… shatters. Everyone's stuck with this mix of guilt, anger, and grief that never really goes away. Some shut down, some explode, some pretend it didn't happen… but it's always there, gnawing at them. People replay every moment, wondering what they missed, what they could've done.

Some families fall apart, some cling together, but nothing's ever the same.
Death changes people even if the death is something that's expected.
