What was the worst nightmare you ever had?

Except the one we currently live every single second when we are awake.

I had my worst nightmares either in major depressions or induced by medication. I had many nightmares.

One of the worst was pretty early when I was 18 after my psychosis. I had major depression and dreamed of going to hell for ctb. My bullies and patients from the psychiatry made a party at my school cekebrating that I will go to hell. One patient spit me in the face. I lost my faith afterwards and felt better.

Another pretty one was after my second psychosis. I dreamed of the a gore video I watched. The worst video I ever watched. How a poor woman was beheaded. I regret that I watched that but I proceeded it eventually. Gore is so toxic.

Surrounded by a lot of people. But they had no faces, just darkness instead of faces. I felt really scared during that nightmare. It's one of my most prominent nightmares. I have horrible ones pretty often.


The ones I have that I recall most though are the ones where I have an exam on that day and I'm at the school with no clothes on writing the exam.Or I'm at the exam hall and everyone has finished the exam and is coming out.

I used to have reoccuring nightmares of people trying to break in to (mainly) my childhood home. Nothing bad ever ended up happening but, they would go on for ages as I would dash about the place realising that this or that door was unlocked. Or, that they're maybe hiding in the garage.

I feel like I've had worst dreams but, can't quite remember them. (Thankfully.) I vaguely remember I was being attacked by a giant crab once. I was so scared that I ripped off one of its claws but then, the guilt that I'd done that felt dreadful too.

Sometimes I dream about someone from my past. That's perhaps the worst. Even if nothing bad happens, it means I will be thinking about them the next day.

Most of my dreams are anxiety/ failure based though. I can't find the class or the workplace I need to get to. I'm set a really basic task by a manager and, I can't do it. Usually, because I feel so tired, which is kind of funny because it's like my dream self knows we should be sleeping rather than working.

My Dad has been retired for well over 10 years and, he still has nightmares about work. It's actually pretty horrible when you consider how much it scars in a way- psychologically. That constant worry that we're late or failing.

had a nightmare last month where i watched myself hang myself in the middle of my bedroom in third person and my parents were screaming and it was all very loud and distorted. this one was probably the worst.

had a few nightmares involving conflicts with my dad. some where he was trying to shoot and kill me and others where he just exploded out of no where and fought me.

had a nightmare where an old best friend who was trans killed herself. i've had several other nightmares but i don't think they're that profound.

i might be using "nightmare" too loosely bc i usually sleep through my nightmares and i don't think they're that bad.

My worst nightmares moslty consists of all the people I care about diying.

Like I had a dream once I was in a dark place and all the people I care about were tied up. I couldn't move eithernot that I was tied up but I was paralyze and just stood there as someone killed everyone I care about with a firearm. As I begged and cried they still just died and I was so helpless to stop it.

In my dream when I turned around it was me but not me, I was so unhinged and the best I could describe it like disheveled and insane and with the most craziest smile.

Then it (me that was not me) shot themselves in the head and I woke up.

When my ex was ghosting me, I had several nightmares of him abandoning me. When he officially broke up with me, I had nightmares for several days about him leaving me for his coworker.

I've had sleep paralysis a couple times, that's been the least pleasant.
In terms of actual dream content? I've had a couple dreams where I've been molested, I'd feel disgusting for a couple days after the fact.
I had two dreams where I have murdered someone, with no feasible way of covering it up, so it's just been me sitting in my house with a corpse having to come to terms with the fact that now I'm going to go to prison for the rest of my life.

I have access to all rooms
I know what torture awaits the animals
I desperately search for a way to secretly smuggle at least one animal out of the laboratory
but because of the strict controls it is not possible

I was carried by a group of people carrying torches and they were going to kill me, and in the recent days I know I had dreamt I was being drowned. One time I woke up with the feeling that I had been actually burned in my dream, and it was more the aftershock and feeling of uncertainty (like how much more pain can I feel in a dream?) that was uncomfortable

I actually had an instance of sleep paralysis yesterday. Not a nightmare exactly, but terrifying regardless. I kept trying to move but I was just locked in place. I tried somehow fighting and I just couldn't do anything, completely helpless.

I... Don't actually get nightmares.

At least, I personally wouldn't consider them nightmares at all. Objectively speaking, the content of many of them would be horrific, some downright just fucked up. But could I really call them nightmares if they didn't elicit any type of reaction?

I have had sleep paralysis only once but utterly terrifying. I couldnt move at all I felt there was a demonic presence around me. I was like that for around a few minutes. I kept trying to open my eyes but couldnt. Never want to experience that again.

I understand,it was extremely terrifying.I'm not sure what we could do if we had to experience that type of thing often.
