Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

The type of nitrogen typically recommended is industrial or food grade, with a purity of 99.9% or higher — ideally 99.99% (often labelled as "4.0 grade") or above. Both industrial and food grade nitrogen are acceptable as long as they are pure nitrogen gas with no added oxygen or contaminants.

Look for labels like:
  • "Nitrogen, Compressed"
  • Purity ≥ 99.9%
  • No oxygen listed in the composition

Purchasable nitrogen without traces of oxygen in it is a fantastic thing, and presence of 1% O2 or below shouldn't be a big issue. Breathing an oxygen-depleted gas mixture with only 6% O2 or less produces rapid unconsciousness and death in several minutes. Breathing a mixture with 6 - 8% O2 is also commonly fatal, but inducing unconsciousness and dying may happen within significantly longer time intervals.

An imperfect delivery of nitrogen to the respiratory system may lead to mixing the asphyxiant with air, so the actual concentrations of O2 in the breathed mixture may be greater than the concentration of O2 in the nitrogen cylinder, but keeping them under the 6% threshold should be quite easy as long as the initial concentration of O2 is somewhere in the range 0 - 1%.

I just went to a welding supply shop and got an N2 tank for welding. I later got concerned about the concentration and contacted the shop to ask. They replied it was 99.99% pure. It is much more then enough. You can see in this table the lethality of oxygen concentration:
So even less then 96% pure is very lethal, Though no doubt the higher the better. Industrial grade is a good 99.99%.
