N2 gas tank questions

Hey everyone! It's my first post here so I'm not sure if I'm posting it in the right forum. But I have few questions I gotta ask about the N2 tank!
First of all it's sad that this year have been awful for me and things been going downwards everyday. I'm glad I found this space so I can discuss about this things freely.
I'm in the process of ordering N2 gas tank I already know every bit of the process and so on about the CTB.
My question is how long does a sealed tank last? Can it be stored in a closet if the ta tank is closed? (Due to my roommate living with me I don't want him find the tank in my room out in the open).
Now you may think that maybe simpel Google search will answer those questions but also it's a bit unclear. Cause for most part people say store it in a ventilated space but I don't see why that's important if the tank is closed and sealed so where the hell I'm gonna store it otherwise? That's why the closet was my first to cross my mind since it's away from sunlight, heat and etc.
My life been incredibly hard the past few years not gonna go in details for what it is that would need another post. I hope I will never CTB and I'm gonna try to keep fighting and get the help I need. But at same time I'm tired of fighting everyday and I don't know how much longer I'm gonna hold. I'm tired emotionally and physically. The exit bag will be my last resort.
I miss you mum I'm gonna try to stay alive for you but this shit is unbearable….
Im so lonely I don't have any friends to comfort me.

I don't think there's anything in a nitrogen tank that can expire unless you have a leak. The whole point is that it's an inert gas and doesn't react with anything. I think the "store in a ventilated area" thing is because if you do have a leak, you don't want to end up with one of those rooms full of nitrogen that scientists occasionally die in.

Check for leaks with soapy water, and if you want to be extra safe recheck it periodically, but I think you're good to just keep it in your closet for years as an escape hatch.

Hello! Thank you for the detailed answer. Yeah I think so too. Nitrogen don't react anyways so can be stored for decades. The gas tank have 10 years expiration date only for refill but the gas itself don't go bad.
I will not open my tank until I'm certain and shit hits the fan so I kept it sealed now in its package in my closet. I only opened the package once to check if I got the right gas but it says N2 so I'm good to go.
Yeah life is fine so far thank you I'm back to uni as for right now.
