Well I've been browsing TikTok on videos of what people do when they lose a loved one. It included insurance, clothing, other belongings, and bank accounts. I only have 1 bank account. The last time I made a post I closed my bank account 2 yrs ago thinking I would got through with it. I didn't. So I had to remake an account. This time I won't close it. Tho idk what to do to make it easier for my parents to close it.
As for my clothes, I'll just reduce my clothing to things I like and put it in a suitcase. Makeup, jewelry I'll pick in ziploc bags I guess. Taxes docs is put in a big folder. Will make a paper on passwords including my bank account and my mails, social medias, and car and phone apps.
Idk what to leave behind that is sentimental tho. I've never really held onto things for some reason. I was thinking maybe having a photoshoot for myself? Or finding all the pics I have in my parents house and collecting them. I never took pics of myself cuz I was alone. I'm saving my iCloud Photos and vids on a usb drive. Saving TikTok and Pinterest on a usb drive. Idk what else to think of. I'm trying to think about this in a way on how someone has to take care of when they lose someone and what tasks they do and what they keep

Honestly never thought about this stuff before, but there is a reason: nobody deserves that effort from me. Selfish as it may sound.

My bank I think had a thing when I made it that has the transfers the funds/gives ownership to someone when you die.
Maybe yours has something similar?

I personally don't own a lot of things and wouldn't mind if my family sold my clothes or stuff or whatever, I won't need it anymore anyways.

Can you explain more on transferring/ownership? I dont need a signature from parents so they can be on it do I? Cant I just say "I declare my bank account to (name)" and let it be handled?

I don't remember, they asked me it when I was making my account and I just remember telling them, "oh I guess my mom" (told them her real name and stuff). It seemed as simple as that. Maybe call your bank about it? But I can get if you don't wanna that seems suspicious.

It is very simple. You just need to nominate someone as the beneficiary of your bank account. This is actually mandatory in my bank. My bank has a mobile app and I just nominated my mother as the beneficiary of my account. Extremely simple. Just need to add their Full Name, date of birth and verifiable details such as some Id proof.i did it online.no need to even go to the bank or you can call them to see if you can do the same.

If you are in the us, for the bank account you could add a beneficiary, making it a transfer on death account. Not sure if it's worth doing, but that would make it a little easier.

Everything else seems pretty well thought through. Do you have any multi-factor authentication or biometrics to consider?
