late evening seems to be the consensus, but does anyone plan on dying early in the morning? what's a better alibi when you're taking an uber into the woods? if i wanted to ctb in the evening i would have to take an uber at around 7 pm and then wait the night out. if i left the house at 5 am it would still be dark, so i could just say that i was going for an early morning hike. planning has been difficult for me because things keep getting in the way. maybe it'd be easier for me to leave the house at 5 am since no would bother me.

My dad wanted to ctb in the morning. It turned into mid morning with the necessary protocol.

He loved planes and that afternoon Whidbey Island Air Base had a big event going on and there were planes flying overhead for hours. I just know it was in honor of him.

I can't personally drive and live with family so what I'll likely do is call out sick to work one day. Household members will think I'm at work but I'll drop by a hotel. My shift is generally mid shift so could be anywhere from 10 to 8 pm.

I can't decide between ''hiding in plain sight'' at day when it simply won't be too odd to hear a couple noises in the distance, or going for the ''classic'' late night ctb myself.

There's a chance there might be security or police walking around and patroling parks and such in the night though. At least where I am from. Most ctb methods work best if one plays it low and stays hidden for a while. I'd do that....

Personally, taking a summer bike ride in the woods at 3 AM is just the kind of experience I'd want to be my very last. I think going out in the morning is especially beneficial if your method requires you to be on an empty stomach.

I plan to die by hypothermia, far out in the wilderness. It's colder at night, so the odds are that I would die at night, though I won't explicitly plan to die at any particular time.

The stress hormone cortisol is much higher in the morning (one of the ways your body wakes you up). Means more anxiety. Planning on doing it at night.

Depends on my partner's schedule. In general, he's gone during the day and I want to give myself a two-hour window. So, either morning or early afternoon.

Since I'll need to fast, I was thinking of early morning since then I wouldn't have to starve during the day. I also find early morning to be the most peaceful time of day.

Although, hearing these responses are making me wonder if I should reconsider to late at night, I like the idea of feeling like I'm literally falling asleep for ctb.

i live alone so i think late at night but early in the morning could be better because fasting is easier. does someone know how much time it takes for the body to be blue with SN ? I'd like someone finds my body very quickly after taking it. i don't want my corpse to be too blue. why must it be so complicated ?? 😡 and sorry for my bad english

does that really matter that much when you'll be dead? i guess you could send a scheduled text or email for someone to get you on the day you ctb. maybe you can just set it a few hours after you take SN

I think the best time would depend on your method and schedule. I plan on using apricot seeds (so cyanide) and I work 2nd shift, so it would actually be better for me to ctb in the morning when everyone has left for work/school if I ctb at home. If I ctb at a hotel, which is what I would probably do, it wouldn't really matter that much. If you ctb in a hotel you can just set a timed message for 2-3 hours from when you start/before you use your method telling someone that you're gone and what hotel & room you're in.

For your method that's kind of a hard one. I guess it would depend on how big the woods near you are. If there's a good chance of you being found then late at night would be your best bet. If the woods are big enough you could probably get away with doing it during the day and not being found.

I would vote early in the morning. Slowly losing my consciousness, peacefully and painlessly whilst the stars diminish, and as the sun comes up, sounds like quite a poetic ending to me. I mean don't call me weird but I've done the dressed rehearsal many times at different times of a day. Early morning works the best for me bc there's minimal activities of other ppl. So it's a nice time to have a final conversation with myself, murmuring and whispering, telling myself that the pain will stop, the agony willl cease, everything will come to an end soon enough... and slowly drifting into unconsciousness.

btw it just feels so relaxing and mindful thinking and doing about everything related to death. These ideations and rituals could really get my signals flowing. And for a moment I cast all traumatic memories behind. Tell me I'm not alone. (don't judge me plz cuz to some it may seem too weird lol)

I'll do it late, when I am very tired. SI will probably keep my awake, but it still sounds easier when I'm exhausted.

a lot of it depends on the method. If I was to go with jumping or shooting, I would take late night because I would not want a lot of people around. Try to traumatize as few as possible so I would pick off hours.

it matters for the person who will find my body and will be traumatized, but i know it's part of the thing. if only i could find N. I'll pay a huge price if i could, but i'm realistic and i'm not a vet... already lost 700 bucks with a scam...
