I need some music recommendations for drinking SN to to make the time theoretically feel like it would pass faster

and I also want to see what you all think- if you knew it was your last day, heck last half an hour on earth, what music would you listen to in order to make the transition easier? Been listening to lots of old blink-182 and the nostalgia really makes me feel at peace

that makes sense, I totally get this. personally, planning to take SN, I know that those last 20 or so minutes would cause me to panic heavily if i didnt have music going to distract me

Music is a kind of guiding force for me, so I think I'd listen to some songs that have been with me through a lot.
Like If I'm To Die by Keaton Henson- anything by Keaton is really wonderful honestly.

I would probably listen to Last Words of a Shooting Star by Mitski, or Cherry Wine by Hozier, all pretty folk-like and soft to lull my thoughts away in those last moments.

Also, good taste on blink 182! Their music makes me feel really nostalgic too

I would want to hear I Love You in Your Tragic Beauty by the Legendary Pink Dots, or really anything off the Crushed Velvet Apocalypse album. Their music makes me feel so at peace.

Though my last attempt I listened to the muppet show intro, so it'll probably be a random choice at the time lol

Probably a song from my early childhood (90's/2000's), or from a time in my life before I truly succumbed to despair. Those cozy nostalgiac feelings would almost feel like being enveloped in a protective blanket of sorts as I drifted off into oblivion.

Yeah...my interpretation of it is that there's what sounds like a baby crying (someone who's just entered life) and an ambulance siren (for someone who's just exited life)...if I was looking over my life the first question I would ask would by ``why?'' Why did small things x, y, and z happen that dramatically altered my life (both good and bad)? The main lyrics ``don't ask my why'' tell us there's no explanation, so don't ask--things happen for no reason. For some reason, I find this thought comforting, that there's no explanation and no reason for why things happen to us -- they're just random, and there's no deeper reason that we might search for.

It's as if someone has just died, and they're expecting to find out some deep underlying plan/set of reasons for seemingly-random stuff that happened to them.....and they find out there is none...don't ask me why. :) The message and melody are very calming and reassuring...

I also find that the picture of an old-timey small rocky mountain town adds to the feelings of calming, of comfort and of contemplation...and I feel like the voice in the background at around 3:26 that sounds like it is saying ``...no matter what'' is comforting..

Hopefully this wasn't too rambling and pretentious lmao.

"Chances Are" by Garrett Hedlund
"Old Man" by Neil Young

But mostly spoken word pieces more than music tbh.

Hard to narrow it down to just a few. Probably create a shortish playlist (since I'll be taking SN hopefully) and set it on random.

Maybe I'll post some songs when I have the chance.

Yeah, this is going to be me as well.

I haven't been able to listen to the music I enjoy in many years. I used to be a musician, at one point I owned 11 guitars, two violins, and a cello, and I could play them all. I was always listening to music and playing it.

Now I just wither away.

The feelings of nostalgia I get when listening to music I enjoy cause overwhelming nostalgia feelings that culminate in a horrible feeling of dread. I avoid it at all costs.

Nerdy, I know, but I am going to listen to Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 3, last movement as played by the Vienna Philharmonic with Abbado conducting.

Honestly I wouldn't listen to any music. Or I would listen to Tell me why by kid laroi. As I have my own meaning to the lyrics. I recommend reading the lyrics or listening it's good

Tell me why, tell me why
It's so hard to say goodbyes
Tell me why, tell me why
(No, no, no, no)
Oh shit, let's go (Yeah, yeah)
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye (Shit)
And when I get inside of my mind, I lose my time
Thinking 'bout the times we had, thinking 'bout the time we spent
Tell me why you left when you told me this was forever and
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye
Lost too many people to this shit, can't even speak upon this shit
I seen shit, I'm way too damn young, it shouldn't need to be like this
I swear that I'm way too damn numb to even think about this shit
But when it's late and I lay awake, I get to tweakin' in this bitch
Overthinkin', overdrinkin' Hennessy up in this bitch
And I'ma face another 'wood 'til I can't think up in this bitch
'Cause if I keep thinking 'bout our memories
Then it's gon' be in memory of me
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye (Shit)
And when I get inside of my mind, I lose my time
Thinking 'bout the times we had, thinking 'bout the time we spent
Tell me why you left when you told me this was forever and
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye (Shit)
I can't count all the tears I cried, so many sleepless nights
Watch all of my idols die, right in front of my eyes
She asked why my heart so cold, and I just can't even lie
I think that I'm better off, without you with me tonight
Better off alone, 'cause I won't take it well if
You come in my life, just to go like the rest did
Why the fuck does God keep testing?
Put my mind to bed, let it rest in peace
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye (Shit)
And when I get inside of my mind, I lose my time
Thinking 'bout the times we had, thinking 'bout the time we spent
Tell me why you left when you told me this was forever and
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye, yeah
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye, yeah
And when I get inside of my mind, I lose my time
Thinking 'bout the times we had, thinking 'bout the time we spent
Tell me why you left when you told me this was forever and
Tell me why, tell me why it's so hard to say goodbye, yeah
