I could easily knock someone out for quoting any of the above.

There are many more specific phrases that irritate me, but these are the few notable ones.

Yeah, it REALY does. Worst part is- it's mainly my Dad- who I realise does WANT to help sort of- but really- I'm sure he'd much rather I was just magically more positive and he didn't have to listen to all my negativity... He doesn't even know the worst of it either! Sometimes I think peopke would actually prefer it if we just lied and said everything was great.

The other is a friend who has been/ is suicidal themself. They sometimes send me platitudes that I doubt they even believe themselves! Lol. You have to laugh in a way- to stop yourself feeling so irritated. What's SO much worse is- sometimes- I find myself returning the same sort of thing to them! Almost like we both do it to mutually annoy one another! Suppose it's because we just can't really outright say- yeah- everything is so utterly hopeless- why don't we just kill ourselves now?

Any kind of positive phrases are beyond irritating to me, the kind of people who say things like that are those who are so blinded by their privileges and delusions, it's best to just take no notice of them, it would be different if something happened to them to make them want to die. Life will always be something that is awful and not worth enduring for me no matter what those people are saying. Choosing to glorify life and dismiss all the suffering that people go through really is harmful and disgusts me. It's that kind of mindset that just causes people to suffer more and more.

The ultimate worst one for me is "suicide is never the answer". For someone to say that then they are clearly insane. There is simply no benefit to prolonging torture and forcing people to stay here, it's a personal decision when to leave this world and others shouldn't have any say in it.

Life could never be a "gift", and that statement is also incredibly problematic as it almost like encourages people to do the shameful thing of bringing new life into this hellish world, no it could never be a gift to exist in a world where there is unlimited potential to suffer. It's always better to never exist at all. All of these phrases are why it's never beneficial to open up to others about anything in relation to suicide. Other people won't even try to understand, as I believe that for many people the thought of someone preferring death over life scares them and they don't want to come to terms with the fact that suicide is a perfectly logical solution.

I really despise, "Everything happens for a reason, things don't happen without a purpose, God's plan.." and anything of that ilk.

Rape, abuse, poverty, disease, war, loneliness, neglect, torture, natural disasters, and every other spontaneous and senseless act of cruelty that happens in this world do not occur on account of underlying divine purpose.

These horrors are often random, irrational, unpredictable, and beyond our comprehension. There is nothing to be gained from going through sexual abuse, being traumatized is not a learning experience that makes the victim stronger or more enlightened, it only destroys you from the inside out.

Trying to ascribe lesson learning as a reasoning for why these terrible things happen is nothing more than an attempt to cope with the existence of unpreventable and unspeakable tragedies that didn't NEED to happen.

Also, I'd like to think that a compassionate creator would not subject his progeny to such sisyphean acts of torture.
