Including living beings too. I imagine pets and plants make people happy.

Those pinwheel toys make me momentarily happy. Especially the ones with multiple wheels on.

I suppose it reminds me of briefly happy moments in childhood. I'm not sure I ever owned a multiple wheel one but, I know I wanted one. It seems so funny really because, they don't exactly have much purpose. I was always drawn to stuff like that though- glow sticks and the like.

I remember my Nana bought me a plastic ball once with flecks of colour over it. I still see them now and then. I think it even had a nice smell to it. It makes me briefly happy even to see shops that sell stuff like that. Junk really I suppose but, I suppose it transports me back to that time of being treated to a toy. I suppose I should be glad to have some good memories. I know some people have none.

Maybe any toy I had though. I sometimes go looking online for pictures of vintage toys to see if I can find reminders of them.

Are your favourite objects more from childhood or, now? A friend was saying the other day though- how different anime and film felt to them when they were younger. I was the same with games to an extent. They were more exciting purchases back then. I suppose I'm fortunate enough to still find some games immersive though. I think that's their appeal.

For me it is now. When I was growing up, I got food, clothing and shelter and that was it period.

Toys? Nope

Bicycle? Nope

Now I collect wristwatches, which bring me joy.

I guess games, but really, what makes me a little happier, is speaking to that one person, that's pretty much it, everything else makes me more depressed, bored

Hm, I suppose it's gratification in which I find glimpses of joy. That being delicious food when my mouth starts to water and I've just been waiting for the moment to savor in all it's goodness. I really like music too for the instrumentals and lyrics and the way it makes me feel understood. When I listen to music I mostly listen for the daydreaming aspect of it or an edit in my head I could only imagine and not hold the skill to create. My days would be so empty and I even would say listening to certain music allows for me to get out what I have suppressed. I like anime, horror/mystery, cute things, childish things, and depth.

I like plushie, porcelain dolls, figures, clothes, blankets, food, hair dye, eyeliner, black nail polish, plants, my cats, shoebills because they're prehistorically cute, and caring souls.

my car . . . and that is pretty much my total interests now

i loved my cat, but lost him 20 years ago today, and even if i wasn't allergic to cats, i probably still would not have replaced him . . . he was perfect, so no other cat could ever come close

and my van halen recordings . . . the other bands too, but they do not get that much airplay :pfff:

Things that make me happy also make me sad so it's hard to say/acknowledge that they make me happy.

There's more than that, but I really like tiny and miniature things. Like small dollhouses.
I remember visiting the Museum of Dollhouses in Poland, there were so many cutesy houses. There were both modern plastic ones and old too. They even had like a souvenir shop where they sold miniature stuff and I remember how I wanted to buy something but it was wayyy expensive than my family could afford.
It makes my cry a little. You know when you're on a late night walk and can see how some of the flats look like? It's something like that... It reminds me that people around have stuff going on too, I think we tend to forget it often or don't fully realise it

godzilla plushies/action figures/any kind of godzilla thing. also model trains make me so happy. or even just seeing actual trains go by. and seeing spotlights, in a theatre or at any kind of other event like if i go somewhere and they are having an event and have any kind of spotlight set up, or when tv shows do a theatre episode when it shows the spotlights. i love spotlights and like looking at pictures of them and seeing the different kinds and memorizing which is which. i even made up an oc character who is a living spotlight. i think its just that spotlights are a symbol of theatre, and of both the acting and the tech sides of it. i also love ghost lights in the same way. seeing the ghost light get switched on at the end of rehearsal always makes me feel comfort. and i also collect bottle caps and sometimes soda tabs but sometimes now i give the soda tabs to my best friend who collects soda tabs

Plushies and also art tutorials as strange as that might sound! Even if I don't follow along with them, I think they're interesting to look at, I like admiring the breaking-down and behind-the-scenes work and hearing peoples' thought processes when they explain how and why they do something. And I also really like that a lot of them are available for free, just people sharing knowledge with others, I think it's nice that the internet allows people to access so much information and connect and learn from each other :)

Taking care of plants and having tea has always made me happy. I own a lot of cups, and I like to switch it up every time I have tea. I'm not sure why, but collecting tea cups makes me very happy.

I also collect journals. Very nice ones, but I do not ever write in them usually. However, possessing them makes me very happy. I feel like I'm weird for that.
