I'm a mechanic in a factory. It really crushes your soul I believe but there are worse condition and you can adapt to it at some point, what really makes it so miserable for me is the dreams I had when I was growing up.
I was more oriented towards more creative and academic things, languages, literature, psychology, art, which I know is unrealistic and childish to think as possible carreers but hey, I would have loved to give it a shot, maybe try to become a teacher one day.
What do you do for a living and what would you dream of doing?

In my country it's like that. At least if you're male and don't want to get dragged into the military slavery. But women also choose at 17 without thinking thoroughly.

I do not have a job right now, and the thought of working is really unpleasant as there is probably not many jobs that I am able to cope with. Of course I dream of no longer being alive, but if I had to pick some sort of career it would be an artist. I have no talent in art, but I wish that I did. I have no skills/talents or anything I enjoy at all really.

A meaningless dead-end job at a factory. Jobs are inherently evil but this one is about the least awful I can imagine, if we don't take the crappy (but sufficient for my purposes) pay into account. There's no mental effort required, there's some variation, there's minimal interaction with other workers, I get light physical exercise and I get to distract myself with music and podcasts and audio books. Basically I have my mind for myself and just sell my body. Still awful but not as awful as most other jobs I can imagine.

My ideal job would be permanent disability.

What do I do for a living? Oh, this, that, and the other thing. I know gay/bi people who know g/b people who know g/b people in my city. I write & ghostwrite all kinds of crap, jokes included, & translate shit & occasionally do the kind of sex work I'm comfortable with. Right now I work at a 5 star hotel. Currently in housekeeping however I interviewed yesterday and got a job in a different department, after they exploited me into becoming a janitor due to short staff. I don't have a dream job because I don't dream of doing labour. Though I guess if I had to choose it would be a music artist. Music is my only joy in this world.
