It definitely can help younger people like teenagers, or in some rare cases even helps people find the help they need. Though for people that are rationally and determined in their suicidal plans it's just a fucked up thing needing to see all that anti-suicide shit. From what I have seen, it pushes the agenda that suicide is selfish extremely as well, which is just sad

Interesting point of view and there is certainly some truth to it.
I feel one of the key differences between 'them' and 'us' is best summarised with the word resilience.

I don't quite get this part tho, can you elaborate?
A lot of people with more extensive trauma, especially older people, often think of their own suffering as baseline or irrelevant, since nobody around them ever acknowledged any of it as severe. It's why so many can be genuinely puzzled by someone else wanting to kill themselves; it's not so much that they don't 'get' their suffering, but that they went through similar hardships and were taught not to take it seriously, and so they can't understand why someone would take it so seriously to the point of taking their life over it.

So acknowledging a suicidal person as rational, when you're one of those 'non-suicidal' people with extensive trauma, means recognizing yourself as victim of way more harm than you originally thought you went through, and that knowledge about yourself can lead to understanding yourself in such a way that you couldn't have before when you believed that your suffering was average.

I see, thank you.

I have to say tho that I think particularly these older people often suffer from very different traumata than us younger folks, at least when it comes to myself.
Often cases it has been the trauma of living under poor conditions, through wars or stuff like that while the traumata stemming from the modern digital society of abundance tend to be of a fundamentally different kind, like for example more based in interpersonal problems, (failed) relationship or rejection, which was less of a thing for the older folks (I believe). So I'm not sure how much these compare, but I feel personally that the world and finding our place in this new world of theoretically infinite possibilities became just infinitely more complex and complicated compared to back then and this is one of the root causes that ends up driving people 'insane' in some shape or form (or depressed, or suicidal, whatever it may be)

That is a fair point. My personal trauma generally derives from poverty and school abuse, and I'm from a family of immigrants, so naturally my family and I share similar trauma, hence my thoughts. I see how it could differ for other people, though

September should be Anti-natalism Awareness month, because an Anti-natalist society would have much less need for suicide awareness.Procreation needs to cease once and for all.

Might hold off until next year's world suicide prevention day. I don't like symbolism and virtue signalling.
