What is this “n” thing everyone’s talking about?

I keep seeing posts talking about exit bags and everyone is saying N. Originally I thought maybe it stood for nitrogen but I saw some people talking about N and nitrogent. Could someone please explain to me what N is?

N stands for Nembutal or phenobarbital
