I've been considering using helium or some other gas with an exit bag as my primary option, but it's expensive and complicated which means it's easy to mess up. My biggest fear is doing something really painful or fucking up somehow. I don't want to just use a gun, because that's too instant. I want something that will feel like I'm drifting off to sleep. Maybe there's something I can OD on or something. I really don't know anything about this stuff, but I just really feel like I can't be here anymore. I know it's selfish of me to want a peaceful way out, but I just want my last moments to be pleasant.

I have no helpful advice, the forum is full of info though and people here are kind and helpful. I only came to say that I'm sorry you're in so much pain. All of us here wish you the best, regardless of what happens or what you choose, and although I hope something changes so you want to love, no one here is trying to change your mind. sending you love, and if you need anything ❤️

I know it's selfish of me to want a peaceful way out, but I just want my last moments to be pleasant.

Please don't think this way.

It's your life and your choice to do what you want with it - no matter what anyone else says.

Assisted euthanasia, but I guess you wouldn't be here if that's available.

Full suspension hanging seems peaceful, it doesn't look like that from outside looking in but in theory, you will only suffer for a tiny moment then it's the body doing the rest unconsciously.

I'd say, an incredibly high dose of painkillers and blood loss... You won't feel anything and you'll just pass out.

Even euthanasia has its limits, you just sort of loose orientation first and wont remember sleeping.

Instant methods are the best for feeling peaceful, and suddenly parting. That way you can feel in control of your peaceful thoughts and instantly end it in the moment, like with a gun or projectile or decapitation device etc.

Gas either suffocates or makes you delirious and pass out... There isn't peace really... Being asleep, and having administered deadly euthanasia that takes effect hours into yours sleep is the way to go, and taking lots of pain killers and sleeping pills to help you drift off...

Getting euthanasia that's rigged to be administered hours into sleep takes electronic devices and euthanasia, neither easily available unless by unlawful means.

Maybe find peace before you do it and just get on that fucking bus

I feel the same, I also just wish and hope for a peaceful way to be free from this futile, torturous existence, all I wish for is no more suffering, I just wish to fall into an eternal, dreamless sleep and never suffer again, I hope you find the relief you search for, I wish you the best.

I stand by hanging as the most peaceful method when ratio'd with its accessibility and lack of pain, if performed correctly.

SN for sure if you get all the medication for a fully fledged protocol, it's the method my best friend used and she said it was very comforting and peaceful as we talked in her final moments. Its the method i plan on using.

From what I've read you've already hit on a very peaceful method. I am not up to the logistics...agree with you they are complex.

The OD path is not very reliable.

Wishing you well.

Isn't carbon monoxide poisoning pretty peacefull? Seems like you will pass out , drift into unconsciousness before actively dying.

Not in the slightest selfish.

Over the years I've considered many methods but these days focus solely on a peaceful exit, ideally sitting somewhere in my car with a beautiful view.

I would think the very vast majority of people would prefer a peaceful exit, no matter what method they may end up using.

Well, carbon monoxide is called "the silent killer" for a reason so technically speaking, that's the most peaceful way to die in general. Can't smell it. Can't hear it. Can't see it. It just comes and makes you sleepy till you never wake up. Not recommending, just stating.
