I guess the meaning of death is that there is an end to everything that lives or lived. I'm sure there are some ways you can explore the thought through reading about other's interpretation on it. For me its hard to give meaning to something I barely understand like death. I hear of other's dying, but it's something I will only experience once and by then my brain will not function afterwards to process the experience. It's exciting, confusing and scary at the same time to think about.

Seems like a necessary thing to make room for more life. Plus, all living creatures here have biologies that break down over time. Imagine what state we'd be in if we lived to 300? We'd be falling apart!

I'm not sure it has meaning though. It's just something that happens because we are effectively all clocks winding down to the point where our mechanisms start to fail.

In some ways, it's pretty cruel to mess about with that mechanism. What's the point in extending life if that life is lived in discomfort and pain? Of course, if people still have their health and a good quality of life then great- good luck to them. We should get the choice though.

I wonder what age we are all supposed to die naturally- without medical intervention.

Death is the end of life, so it means you lived but not anymore. What comes after, maybe it's an afterlife, maybe it's nothingness we don't know. Death is like hanging in superposition, and only once you have died do you know what comes next.

Death is kind of like how i watch the bubbles of my coffee spin in circles the same way one of my old dogs did 10 years ago. But time came to fast, and now my dog rests beneath a flowerbed, tail forever tucked between a slack jaw. There is no need to spin anymore, but the earth does anyway. And i guess my dog taught me very well that, death leaves nobody free of grief that they'll carry in the pocket of their heart, because is it just the price of having one. And now i'll miss him until i'm a memory in some else's.

Death is good, it prevents bullies from living forever and dominating everything else. By 'bullies' I mean too successful individual animals, dictators, etc. It falls short of eliminating oppression altogether, though, but things would be far worse if there was no death. I really don't want death to be conquered by humanity, I consider medicine to be possibly humanity's worst invention because it inflated both human populace and power disparity, greatly multiplying suffering.
