i want to spread more positivity in this forum for those who need it, sooo tell me some things you did this week that you're proud of?? <3

i'll go first, i dyed my hair this week! i'm really happy with the way it turned out. i also finally cleaned my room and my parents can see im making more of an effort to get better. i finally resumed making some 3d models as it was a hobby i had months ago but quit because of my depression.

i hope you all are doing well and that you've had a good day. :)

Maybe this thread would get more traction in the recovery subforum?

Anyway, I watched a ton of movies which is impressive given my fried attention span (i watched 2 movies last year and not even voluntarily). I also spent 3 hours learning French. Cleaning is a good idea, I need to get it together...

what movies did you watch?? i'm not too keen about movies but i'll watch them with the right person.
did you enjoy learning french? i was learning japanese recently but gave up...
as for cleaning, i think you should take it one step at a time and break things down into layers/levels (ex: level 1 is clothes, level 2 is trash, level 3 is big things, level 4 is bed) :)

Oh you know, a bunch of old stuff. Shining, Schindler's List, The Green Mile... there's like 10 of them on my list. Some were rewatches. Unfortunately, I don't seem to enjoy them as much as I used to... but they're still fun.

Oh yeah, French is superb. It's so nice and easy, like I can't believe I'm having such a good time just reading words on a screen. I love it. It's like I've found my soulmate, only it's not a person. (Soulpiece? Soul-language?)

I was also learning Japanese for a bit. Why'd you give up?

And thanks for the cleaning tip

I really like that somebody's trying to do this. Perhaps this can be on your list for this week^^

As for myself I guess just getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment on it's own these days as unfortunate as that is.

Though if I am being completely honest being a decent Dungeon Master for my friends despite how difficult it has become due to depression is probably something more worth being proud of. I wont get into it here but my group of players really did enjoy themselves last time.

as for me I've been on a break from making music but i locked in 4 nights ago and made a 4 minute song in one sitting. Very proud of it! its my best song lyrically and im not sure if ill beat it soon but ill def try.

I saw a counsellor for the first time in years, she was quite nice. But she's not available next week and I'm barely coping so I'm not sure how I'm going to manage.

KITTEHHHH (read in caseoh voice)
Oh you know, a bunch of old stuff. Shining, Schindler's List, The Green Mile... there's like 10 of them on my list. Some were rewatches. Unfortunately, I don't seem to enjoy them as much as I used to... but they're still fun.

good choices! i'm sorry to hear you don't enjoy them as much, but at least you're positive about it!! :)

i like watching older disney movies like alice in wonderland, bolt, lady and the tramp, nemo, etc etc

Oh yeah, French is superb. It's so nice and easy, like I can't believe I'm having such a good time just reading words on a screen. I love it. It's like I've found my soulmate, only it's not a person. (Soulpiece? Soul-language?)

i'm glad you have something you're passionate about and i hope you continue being passionate with it. i am so proud of you.

I was also learning Japanese for a bit. Why'd you give up?

i gave up due to me no longer having the energy or patience, i tend to do this with most of my hobbies because i'm always too drained to enjoy them..

And thanks for the cleaning tip

anytime!! i hope it helps you
I really like that somebody's trying to do this. Perhaps this can be on your list for this week^^

awe thank you for your kind words this made me smile. <3

As for myself I guess just getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment on it's own these days as unfortunate as that is.

this is 10000% something to be proud of, celebrate every win regardless of how big or small it is. you are trying and that is all that matters. i am proud of you for that.

Though if I am being completely honest being a decent Dungeon Master for my friends despite how difficult it has become due to depression is probably something more worth being proud of. I wont get into it here but my group of players really did enjoy themselves last time.

correct me if i'm wrong but you are talking about dnd right? if so, my dad loves dnd!! i never got too into it but i played it as a kid. im glad you enjoy doing that and that it makes you proud of yourself.
I worked all five days this week! I'm pretty unreliable so it always feels like a major victory

good job!! i work a lot so i understand to an extent. its always refreshing to see how valued you are on a team. i work in fast food as a waitress so a lot of people depend on me. coworkers, customers, higher ups, etc. you get it.

i am proud of you for going to work no matter how many days it was or how long it was. you are doing more than enough and deserve to be proud of yourself.
Even tho it didn't work out I did reach out for help outside my comfort zone... so ig im proud for trying.

GOOD JOB!!! i am insanely proud of you for this as i know how hard it is to ask for help. you are so strong for this.
I REALLY like this idea! hopefully it continues for a while like the other threads i see here, it'd be very nice to see.

i plan on making more threads to check up on people <33 i love being there for other people and helping them feel better
thank you for your kind words btw!!

dyeing your hair by urself is so cool ive always wanted too try it to do grey or blue, what color did you do?

i normally only cut and color my hair myself, i've only gone to the salon a handful of times! i did pink, purple, and dark blue (think of twilight sparkle)
i think grey or blue are good colors, only issue with blue is that it stains your hair and is awful to bleach after as it turns green

as for me I've been on a break from making music but i locked in 4 nights ago and made a 4 minute song in one sitting. Very proud of it! its my best song lyrically and im not sure if ill beat it soon but ill def try.

omg you make music?? what kind?? i used to make music but not anymore as its just not something i'd like to pursue anymore..

i'm proud of you for making a song as i know firsthand how hard it is to have writers block. i hope you continue to blossom and grow, hopefully one day you'll be famous hehe.

if you ever need help learning jp i can try helping, ive been doing it for a while and have gotten somewhat far but not THAT far so idk.

hope everyone is doing well

i would LOVE that, any help is appreciated, thank you. <33

i hope you are doing well too.

good job!! i am so proud of you. i really hope everything goes smoothly for you. don't die on me yet though, dear. :(
i made it a week sober which is the best ive done ever since i started drinking, but i did relapse tonight

good job!! i know staying sober is hard and it's okay you relapsed. i always tell myself you have to relapse and struggle to get better. maybe that'll help you? i do hope things get better for you. a week is a long time if you think about it. i believe in you.
I saw a counsellor for the first time in years, she was quite nice. But she's not available next week and I'm barely coping so I'm not sure how I'm going to manage.

im proud of you!! good job. im glad you are seeking help as that's the first few steps to healing. if you ever need something please shoot me a dm as i would be more than happy to help.
