Discussion what is a must do for new members?

Hello, i am SatinSoul, or just Satin, and am a brand new forum member and i have a question for you active and/or long time members.

Besides reading the rules and studying methods, what would you recommend a new member should do/see when starting out, maybe something that you wish you did/saw sooner?

Read a certain post that in your opinion shaped SaSu culture or your world view? Write an introduction post? Share a life story or advice?

hi, am new here. i've read the rules and faq, but i'm noticing there's a culture here that i don't really know the ins and outs of yet. i'm kinda socially inept and i'm paranoid about breaking some random unspoken rule any time i post anything. is there anything that i should avoid...

in my opinion, it's going to depend on what you are looking for. some people are here purely for finding ctb methods and ensuring they have a good plan, others are here looking for a community in which they can discuss these topics without judgement and not necessarily looking to ctb. personally i tend to mainly just try and help out others where i can. whether its through encouragement, linking helpful resources, or just responding to their post. ctb is always on my mind though, and im working on developing the method i feel works best for me.

in my opinion, it's going to depend on what you are looking for.

I have my method for the future locked in already and am rather confident about it.
Finding a community and comforting struggling members sounds like a fulfilling way to spend my time on here. Thank you for your advice as well
