Ok so before we get into this Conversation. Ik as of right now aliens aren't a thing and this isn't just crazy talk. This is truly a genius curious question lmao But do you think there is life out there besides us? What do you think they're doing? Do you think their technology is better or worse? And what do you think they'll do when they meet us?

i can't imagine us ever meeting aliens given the time it takes to travel to different planets and the time it takes for evolution to create intelligent lifeforms most civilizations i imagine just end up running out of resources and end up dying off so our chances of ever meeting aliens is so small its not even worth thinking about, it might not even be possible to travel at the speed of light which means 1000s of years spent in space to travel to the nearest earth like planet by them we would of die off and ran out of resources i think we are doomed but who knows for sure maybe AI can get us off this planet into deep space

The modern form of humans only evolved about 200,000 years ago. Civilization as we know it is only about 6,000 years old, and industrialization started in the earnest only in the 1800s., in about the year 2200 we will completely run out of resources on this planet

so the window for contact is very small like 1000 years the chances of evolution creating two civilizations at around the same time is really small

Valid point but what if we discovered life right now? Then how would you answer those questions? I'm very aware it won't happen at all. But im just asking out of curiosity.

I think the problem is, if the President of the U.S. came out tomorrow and addressed the nations of the world in a U.N community

I think there is life out there. The universe is gigantic, we are not that important. I think it's statistically guaranteed that somewhere conditions are good enough for life to develop. As for what they're doing? Probably eating, moving around, communicating in some way. Technology? No idea lol. They probably won't ever meet us.

Yeah, I think about this too sometimes. Given how big the multiverse or, whatever it's called likely is, it feels like there should be other life out there. It's so weird to think there could be other beings wondering the same thing right now. We'd be the aliens to them. I can't help but think they'd think we were such a dumb race if we ever met. Nuclear weapons, global warming, pollution. I wonder if many other races actively try to achieve their own extinction.
