I've also got lots of use out of this. Good courses in good universities are normally only offered on campus, whereas online courses are generally crap. Suddenly the former are forced to teach online which has allowed me to grab some good courses that I've previously given up on taking (the commute didn't add up with work). Regrettably it's not the same learning experience, even though I get the same diploma.Not having to go to uni in person.
I feel the same way about seeing my extended family.It meant I had an legitimate reason for isolating myself. It meant I wasn't forced to see extended family which I do not particularly enjoy being around. It honestly didn't affect my life that much though.
