I did not know they had a metal channel on television, considering I barely watch it hah

These are just music channels I listen to when I'm online. (No videos, but I think you can access them) There is a lot of them. Those are the ones I usually listen to.
They are like Sirius XM ... they just are through the cable system. Not as many, I don't think. I don't have Sirius XM ... I'm not sure. I usually just listen to cds of bands I like in my car. (Radio sucks where I am)
Thought about getting Sirius XM but if it's mostly the same why bother. I would only listen to a few channels in the car anyway. I think you can probably listen to it in your home also. Not really sure cause I haven't looked into it.

Folk punk (pat the bunny), post, prog, and math rock. Also love mathy emo, and of course electronica and rap. With some powermetal on the side.

John Frusciante is my all time favorite though.

I don't actually know what genre they are, but Glass Animals are my favorite band.
They've got a sound that's almost near TV on the Radio, but slowed down and.. on acid or something lol.

I enjoy rock n roll, jazz, blues.. bluegrass can be fun.
The 70's made some pretty fuckin great sounds. Hendrix and Joplin, etc.

Music does cheer me up, despite opinions.. it gets me moving and out of my shitty element. I appreciate melodic noise more than most things.

Love 70s music!
I love music and almost all kinds of music. I hate that my depression has made me apathetic in recent years about so much, including music -- although I go through periods where I'm more interested in it again and lately I've been in that headspace.

So the genres I enjoy most are :
80s pop/rock/anything
alternative like The Smiths/Morrissey, Smashing Pumpkins, REM, Beck, White Stripes, etc
funk
Motown!
classical, particularly Mozart, he's my favorite
folk rock, like Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Suzanne Vega,
a mishmash of other stuff including Enya, Weird Al, I even have some albums of Gregorian chants. lol

Lately I discovered Lizzo and have really been enjoying her

When I feel super depressed, classic Country/Western (like from the 50s through the early 80s) both soothes me because I do love it, but it also makes me feel worse because I have so many childhood memories attached to that music because it's what I heard all the time at home when I was a kid.

Alt country, old stylee country rock, blues rock. I used to listen in the car but the car is gone, so now I don't listen to music at all. For me, driving and music were intimately related.
