• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I haven't showered in two weeks. I feel absolutely disgusting, but I just can't. I have no energy for anything. I can't even take the trash out, the only thing I force myself to do is feed my cats, change their water, keep their litter boxes clean and i even try to play with them everyday. Ans that is a lot, but they deserve to be happy and healthy. Anything else, i just can't.

What do you do when you can't take care of basic things?

My brow piercing kind of forces me to take a shower every day because I didn't spend 70 bucks for it to fall out in less than a month, and I'd really like snakebites someday so I try to get mysef to brush my teeth as often as I can, but even a monthly record would be 5 times a month.

If I have urgent coursework, I honestly just gauge how long it would take and put it off to the last minute, like if it took 2 hours to do, I'd do it at the last 2 hours before it was due. Sometimes I put it in my Reminders and have the reminder pop up annoyingly every 30 minutes, but more often than not, I just get annoyed and delete it lol.

More than anything, I try to shut down the perception of my other tasks, as if I'm running on a track and I look ahead of me and see this looong way to go, and I start feeling hopeless, so I "make it go night time, and I only have a headlamp so I can only see what's in front of me" and before I know it, I'm done. I also just divide my work, like ah I finished 30% of this assignment today so that's 30% less I have to worry about tomorrow.

Having a non-remote, full-time job pretty much demands I have decent hygiene maintained. Keeping my apartment clean though.. forget it.. I haven't done my dishes in so long that even the mold has died, I can't really walk anywhere except this sliver of a path from the doorway; my bathroom is clean though! I've been keeping that clean for a few months.

To be honest I think forcing myself to have some form of routine kind of helps me personally. Like yes I feel worthless most of the time but sometimes thinking that I'm not getting anything done makes that 4 times worse?

I also think having people who depend on me also kind of forces me to keep trying no matter what

I try to set my brain to "autopilot" mode when doing tasks that do not need much focus. If I am doing something else (namely a chore) that needs more thinking, but is still boring, then I try to force myself to not have thoughts that will deplete my motivation. The only tasks I do not have an issue with doing most of the time are ones relating to personal hygiene.

I guess I am strange, because I oftentimes neglect almost every aspect of my life, and personal environment except for bodily hygiene; I think this is because I have what feels like an obsessive dislike of even the smallest amount dirt, and an extreme anxiety around body odor which forces me to clean myself constantly - I hate sweat.

I get the feeling. I haven't showered in a long time too, and I have trouble taking care of my hygiene at times. However, sometimes I have a "spark" that gets me to do one thing, and once I do one thing, I make it a habit of doing many things in that same moment while I am in a flow state.

Another thing that helped me though, I made a nice looking chart of things to do on a board. When I check something off, I feel validated and it helps my mood a bit.
