Help What experiments could SN be used in, need an excuse to buy.

So I'm not planning CTB any time soon, but I would like to have access to it as a safety net. I'm in a college chemistry class (CHEM 1405) and I was wondering what kinds of things SN could be used in that would make a good excuse to buy it. My parents check all of my packages so I would need a reason to be buying 99% pure SN. Also, if I can convince them, my dad may even be able to get some for me (he works in an industry where he has access to any chemical you can think of).

I was thinking of saying we need it for some kind of lab coming up, but I don't know what that would entail. Any help/ suggestions help! and if you have any advice on getting my hands on good antiemetics that would also be much appreciated. Since I don't think my psychiatrist would prescribe me them on a whim (plus my parents would question why I need them).

I don't know how good they would be for you but promethazine is pretty easy to get in a pharmacy here (as an antihistamine and used for travel sickness). It's often used post surgery as an antiemetic. Other than that, the best way to get them prescribed is to complain about migraines.
I have migraines and what people often don't realise is a migraine is not a headache. That is one of the more common symptoms, as is vomiting, dizziness, photosensitivity...just search it. From what's said, that seems to be the easiest way to get a prescriptioon

Say you have to do tests I see how sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate react differently to different substances. You could do the tests then report back so people can be helped to identify the differences. Ask your professor how to test for sodium nitrite and then just say you need to do that

SN is used to make cured meat such as hams, bacon or sausages. You could pick it up as a hobby and justify the purchase of SN this way.

That actually works really well since I get really bad about travelling and we have a big trip coming up. I can just say that the trip makes me really sick and see if they'll provide me with some. Thank you so much! ❤❤❤

When I was looking for an antiemetic here in Mexico I went to a pharmacy in the airport and told them that I get terrible motion sick on airplanes. You could also tell a pharmacy that your sister is terribly sick (some form of cancer) from chemo. and she can't get around on her own. She sent you to buy the antiemetic for her.
