• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I was so used to breezing through things it really feels like I never tried at all.

Whenever I succeed at something, it always felt like it's because it was "easy".

The teachers at my school used to say I was a smart kid. (I don't know what they are talking about, my exam grade is abysmal)

And yet I failed at things that everyone managed to do at young age.

Like everyone around me knows how to ride a motorcycle and a bike during middle school or even as young as 9.

And yet, I managed to learn how to ride a motor/bike only after I had finished high school. (So I failed even at the things that were easy for everyone)

I imagine we all have our own strengths and weaknesses. I suppose anything that feels more difficult to us than it appears to others could be considered something we struggle with.

What I think is harder to assess is when we or others claim we 'can't' do certain things. Presumably- that happens when we've tried multiple times and failed. When trying to do something causes us great suffering. When we literally can't physically do something.

I definitely think we can have aptitudes for certain things- talents. But then, also mental blocks over some things too. I suppose sometimes we can work through those blocks or, find ways around them. But then- we may feel we don't want to. Because we don't have the motivation or desire to try, because we don't want to keep trying and failing and we don't want to suffer again.

Some things I suppose are just difficult. Even geniuses likely find very complex equations frustrating/ difficult. I suppose the difference is- they believe they have the potential to eventually solve the problem. So- I guess that's the other thing. Both self confidence in our abilities but, also the patience/ interest to keep try to better them.

It's kind of funny how that works, hard work feels hard and humiliating cause then you'll realize that you're not actually that good.

And when you do "succeed", your brain now berates you for taking too much time on those problems.

Or how you shouldn't have looked at the textbook/internet because you feel like you should've known it in the first place.

I don't know, it seems that my brain was always fast on rejecting anything that i was untalented at. (Not that I was good in the first place)
