What are your beliefs about god

I don't know. Just two nights ago I broke my necklace with a cross on it.

Bought it over 10 years ago in Colorado. I live elsewhere in the Midwest US; was just there on a week-long trip. Never been back since then.

I am suffering so much and *it as if* He does not give a single fuck.

I threw my broken necklace with a cross on it, in the trash.

It's gone now to a landfill. Real silver too.

I'm done.

And no. I'm not an atheist. I don't judge people who are, aren't, are confused, whatever, about their relationship with some god.

I fucking hate it here. That's all I know. I—fucking—hate it here.

If there is one, it's likely nothing to do with any world religion or human conception. If we live in a simulation, we won't meet its creators when we pass. Does every human on every culture ever meet them? Unlikely

God is good. I love my Lord. I know He is good and just and right. But the suffering... I know the world is imperfect, He is perfect, and I cannot deal with this world any longer. I despair, I wish I can better use the life He give me, but I just can't. I'm nervous to die.

He's as real as any god pagan or otherwise.
But to be more curious. I would say that God or any god is simply a philosophy of society/culture personified. So I think. God is as the tanakh, Bible, and Quran describe.

Not that I believe in the afterlife or a ominent being like God. But if there was an afterlife. I would like Heaven to be like American Horror Story, like it would be like a life if I was a born a man and had a much better life than here... Or as a ghost.

So heaven would be like an anthology (a series of seemingly unrelated stories, with an underlying connecting factor.)

I actually love that hypothesis so much! Very intriguing concept. Not to dissimilar from the tv show, the good place's, premise for the afterlife.

Very solid watch if you every find yourself needing a new show to binge.

In the past I was simply content with thinking of God as something that doesn't exist - a fantasy, and a lie.

I've started to see God more and more as an idea, though. That idea certainly exist, and it has real world impact.
Strictly speaking, I don't believe in the existence of mathematical operations either. I don't believe "addition" can be found, as an entity. Maybe God, like mathematics, ought to be seen more as a function or description of reality?

It's getting a bit philosophical, but I'm sharing in case someone has additional insight to share.

I feel the same way - God is good - He is true to His word and He will deliver in the end - because Christ paid the price and is worthy - but I feel what He wants of me personally is too much - to struggle financially, to be alone with nothing and no one but a story and memories of grief and abusive - and yet somehow I'm expected to have hope and shine a light in this dark world - I am confused, either way it's too hard and I'm too weak for it all.

GOD or a higher power is good, caring and never ending.

Just as this life is one of so many experiences that each and every person will have, GOD is right there as a guiding light and a presence to shelter and give hope and love.
