I don't know the exact wording in English. But I am refering to a suicide on the track. Someone jumped in fron of the train. I read someone here once. The person was shocked how heartless the people react to it. He made the experience in my country. I think many Germans try to be always punctual. Me too. But I could never be angry about someone who was this desperate. Always when I hear announcements like that I get innerly sad. I think this could be me in the future. I try to be quiet for a short time and think about the person, the pain the person had to endure. Due to OCD I am kind of obsessed on punctuality. But I have learned some coping mechanisms.
I have not experieced such train announcements quite often. I often don't listen to the announcements anyway. But I get angry when people don't act with empathy. There they claim how suicide prevention was so important for them. But if you come a little bit later to your home you get angry on someone who was extremely desperate. Moreover the person decided for such a brutal methods.
I get sad when I hear something like that. And I get angry that people have to decide for such traumatizing methods. This is also not good mentally for train drivers. But my main criticism concerns the society and the denial of the right for a peaceful death.
