Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

how do you explain ghosts, paranormal sightings etc?
There's no trustworthy paranormal sightings. It makes no sense that only a few people have seen a ghost and nobody has been able to record it in any way. If they existed, they would be way more common. Why a ghost never appeared in a place with a lot of people, like a convention or a concert? Why no scientist has been able to observe it in a controlled experiment? Even if they find a slight noise with a machine, it makes more sense to assume that it's some kind of energy or wave, instead of assuming that it's your dead mother.

If someone sees a ghost, there's other explanations. Maybe they are hallucinating. Maybe they saw something else and they thought it was a ghost. Maybe a flaw in their senses made them see something that wasn't there. Maybe they were so sad for the loss of someone that they convinced themselves that they saw them as a ghost. Or maybe they are lying. All of these are explanations that make sense from a rational PoV, so it's kinda weird to assume that ghosts exist (and a bit egocentric too, since it implies that humans are not simple animals in this senseless universe but something more).

About NDE, it's not that weird that several people had similar experiences. After all, we all have the same bodies and brains, so it makes sense that death causes the same effects in all of us.

About mediums that know things that nobody told them, they are simply good liars. Some of them admitted so.

Animals looking at things that are not present is just silly. They sensed something you didn't (not a ghost, maybe a noise or a bug or something) or they are simply thinking, or maybe they are trying to listen or smell. I sometimes look towards the wall while I'm thinking, or maybe I'm looking towards a funny shadow or whatever. The only difference is that I can use words to explain you what I'm doing.

I admit that my explanations are not all perfect. But my point is that assuming a ghost is responsible for something we don't understand yet makes no sense. There's always a more simple explanation. I guess we want to believe we are special, so we believe in souls and afterlife and things like that, but the truth is that we are monkeys in a ball of dirt, and our lives have no specific purpose.
