Are all mass posters the same? Are the motives similar? I think the stance on life and death varies among them. But maybe the things we get from this forum might be similar.
Recognition, identity, comfort, a way to pass time (not my answer), a valve, a place to feel less lonely
I think some members wonder how members can post on here for such a long time and so frequently. I tried to count it quickly but the member with the 100th most posts has roundabout 1900 posts. The forum has 65.000 members. I counted the folllowing very fast. And there are roundabout 350 members with more than 1000 posts. 0,5% of all members have more than 1000 posts.
But there are also heavy users that go way harder. There are 23 members with more than 5000 posts.
What do they want to achieve by posting?
Do they want attention, would they want money, is there an inner mechanism inside their psyche that drives them to keep posting on here? Personally, I think it is my autistic special interest.
Do they have ulterior motives and an agenda? Are they a homogenous group or individuals with different answers to these questions? Is there a connection between them?
Are they in similar demographic groups? To reach such an amount of posts it often needs time.
Do mass posters contribute to the forum the most or do they have responsibilites towards newer members? Should they give something back or should everyone find their own way to use this forum?
I think I won't find answers to these questions today. I am sort of tired. Again only horrible threads driven by anxiety and rumination. Nothing worthwhile.
