You are right and I know it first-hand, which is why it irritates me when people who never went to Japan or don't speak Japanese are saying things like "I would love to live in Japan, guys are so respectful and people are so open to foreigners and I could dress however I want and do whatever I want" etc

i'm a playwright whose work has been picked up by companies all around the world. i've gotten to tour the world and do art and i've won awards, and it feels like i should be the happiest person alive but no matter how hard i try, it's always never been good enough to make me happy.

Capitalism is not good. Socialism is worse.
Speaking as somebody whose country was 35 years before under communistic block in Eastern Europe.

There is one kind a silly joke which is told in my country.

Capitalism, Socialism and Communism have agreed to meet personally. Capitalism and Communism arrive on time. Socialism is late.
Socialism: "I am sorry guys, I waited hours in a queue for some meat"
Capitalism: "What is the queue? I have never seen that"
Communism: " What is the meat? I have never seen that".

I'm very passionate about art I love the way people express themselves through it, it's like a peak into their minds and I especially love art that expresses intense emotions. I think it's amazing everyone has their own unique style no matter what skill level of art you are at. And yes, I know the cons of Japan but I'm very passionate about Japan. There is way more things I dislike about my home country. Although there are some things I strongly dislike/hate about Japan (work culture, sexual harassment/stalking being more common sometimes, etc.) there's so many things I love. I love the temples and the convenience stores, the catering to introverted people, the cicadas and how friendly strangers can be. Also the street signs, the onsens, the Ryokans, the vending machines, the little museums that transport you back to different eras in Japan. The language is so cool and pretty to me as well. Even before I got into anime I was in love with Japan

Finding out about the unknown always seems to ignite something in me, maybe its driven from the natural curiosity of us humans but learning about the secrets of deep space is really fun. But it's not limited to deep space, all things unknown are what i strive to learn, like particles. So I guess my passion really lies in physics, specifically modern physics and astronomy because thats where deep space learning and particle physics lie.
