What are the chances I live from a 9mm to the side of the head?

Temple is actually not the best area to aim at. Many people live from temple shots (particularly with 9mm) or under the chin (more so with shotgun due to flinching). I am not going to state the best location but if someone is interested if you read the book by Geo Stone that's called like Suicide Attempts or Suicide Methods (you may be able you find a copy in the resources!) he goes into great detail about what is and isn't a good location amoung other things. That book is really the best book on methods imo. Very detailed. You can also find the information about best location is the resources section in various resources. The one thing I will say about the temple, the whole point for a quick death is to hit the brain stem. But aiming directly at the temple you chance not hitting the brain stem and not hitting anything that will 100% cause brain death. There are many cases of people living from 9mm temple shots if you just search it on Google. And these are verified medical journals citing it not just random people that could be dishonest.

Where is the resources section I cannot find it?

I just don't understand why the side of the head by the ear is not good placement my Springfield is to large for any other way.

My 9 has a 4in barrel, I can't fit it in comfortably.

Mine is 3.3" springfield won't fit is going from side by the ear successful?

I'm in Florida rn. Spending Christmas by myself. Planning on driving back to Michigan and ending it.
Planning on ending it saying goodbye to family on the phone, don't want to be alone when I end it if that makes sense. How long do you think it will take me to die after using a 9mm to the side of my head? Using a hollow point. I know guns and ammo well and know hollowpoint is the better option but afraid a hollowpoint might not penetrate my skull or that a 9mm is too small and might ricochet. Or that I don't have enough blood loss to die by the time emt get there. Or that I don't go unconscious and it will be painful. Or that the pain from having the gun blast right near my ear and I don't die how painful it would be. Anyone know anyone that used a 9mm and died?

It's best to aim for the brain stem, I don't want to give any bad info on how exactly aim to shoot that so you should go to the firearms thread.

What a dumb thing to say. Suicide isn't anything to be excited about even if I think everyone should have a right.
