Living abroad and skipping classes to go sit on the beach and enjoy the warmth and sunshine. I had the best time out there, my anxiety was at an absolute zero.

I'm glad! Where was it that you were abroad?

Impulsive night time road trips with the ex fiancé, the summer I spent in Austria, watching my best friend get married, any time spent at the beach or hiking through mountains.

Tinkering on a car and driving it afterwards enjoying the new parts/characteristics of said new part. That's all i can think of for now. Even that has become worthless. Had a really bad mental time lately so yeah...

Going to pride festival and being able to be myself without judgement or scrutiny from outsiders. It was such a lively atmosphere where you could finally breathe knowing that you're in a safe and accepting environment.

Spent the best 8 months of my life in Muskoka, Canada, nothing but good memories of that.

Holding my granddaughter the day she was born. The single greatest memory I have.

My first ski trip with 7th grade. It was my first time seeing snow and it was snowing so much the whole time. It was like a wonderland. Going out and partying as a teenager. Getting my dog. He's really the only good thing I've got left now.

When I was really little and my grandmother would take care of me we'd bake cakes and cookies together from scratch.

What little I remember of being a kid before starting school, that fucking institution broke me. There are probably other nice memories since then but they are all punctuated with depression; like a sort of dark cloud if you will. Still this is a very positive thread and I am happy to read it.

The one nice thing my mom did allow was a pretty free range childhood. I got to ride my bicycle around all over town by like 10 or 11. I got to have some pets and even brought animals in from outside that she let me keep. Had no clue how to care for them but they did survive for awhile.

Childhood,..

I remember Grandma making endless pancakes when we stayed with them.

My brother and I racing around the house and other competitions to humor Grandpa.

Mid afternoon naps with Grandpa and him showing me how to 1/2 drape the blanket so you're not too hot/cold.

When I was younger I would round up all the other kids in our neighborhood and we would have races through the storm drains!

I helped one of my neighbors with his wifi setup. It was a such a simple and effortless task on my part but he was so grateful (like i had cured his son of cancer or something). I guess i was just overwhelmed by the disproportionate amount of gratitude that emanated from him.

Lol! Sometimes that simple act of helping with what seems like a small thing to u is a huge deal for someone who isn't good at that thing.

When I discovered the internet maybe. Or when I got my first new, store bought book instead of those antique ones we used to have home.
Maybe it sounds like a cliche or whatever but I honestly can't recall many good moments.

I miss the memory of being emotionally alive and returning home after a day of being physically and spiritually worn in a happy way. Like when you were a kid and you came back home after school, after playing with your friends, and running and jumping, and you had dried sweat mixed with dust and grass in your skin, and you had supper , a shower with soap all over your skin and the water getting darker at the bottom of the bathtub, and went to bed. That smell and the feeling of your dirty and dried-after-being-sweaty kids hair sticked to your temples and the sides of your head.

Biking around wheat fields while visiting my parents' house, wearing flannel shirt and swimming shorts, wind in my face, cigarette in mouth... Jesus Christ...

I have so many good memories. There would be too many to list, here. I'm glad I spent my 20s going on adventures, going on quests to find rare treasures and just having fun in many different parts of the world. Otherwise, I'd just be stuck with shitty memories and when I CTB, I'd feel like shit for wasting my youth just for some extra $$$ down the road.

No, I'm lonely. I have no one

You don't need anyone to make happy memories though, do you? You don't need anyone to go to Finland during the winter, look up and see the Northern Lights with your own eyes.
