• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

In the USA, is there a way to sort having your body taken care of after so that no one you know has to deal with that?

I went to a local cemetery and paid for everything in advance. Made all the plans. When I'm dead, all someone has to do is call them, and they will come and pick up the body and take care of everything. It was expensive but I felt like I had to do it.

Depends on who finds you and if you have a will with instructions on what to do with you when you die. Unfortunately, if the police find you, a family member may have to identify your body.

I often forget I'm almost 60 years old until I look in a mirror. But it was just sales and marketing to them. It was a little strange but not surprising. Right down to the very end you get offered options, deals, discounts, blah blah blah. They were more than happy to make a sale. Actually, now that I think about it, if a young person walked in with a smile and just said they're in to long-range planning, they would be impressed (and happy to make a sale).
