It's interesting- what do you think it means? Random but my first thought was that it looked like something from this game I'd played a while back, Into The Radius. I can't paint a clear picture about what the sculpter could've been trying to convey here.

I have absolutely no knack for interpreting art, but my impression is that the burning candles could represent the unfulfilled dreams, or possibly the emotional tumult, of the bedridden figure. Unable to achieve their goals, or resolve the source of their illness or despair, they whither away.Similar threads
