I've watched every the last of us 2 gameplay possible. I haven't played it because I'm scared of my own shadow lol
By the way I found some plot choices obnoxious. Overall I would give it a 7.5/10, put many people give it a full no.
What's your opinion?

I also only saw let's play type of videos on YouTube. I did't even finish the full playthrough and was definitely not as enjoyable as the first one.
I would give it a 7 out of 10.

Yes it was. Both games are great but the first is always going to be the best imo. I am not even a 'gamer' but was suggested the first one for the story and immersion.

I never played it but I read many ppl were disappointed by it. I played the first one and I fall in love with it.

I really appreciated the amount of work that was put into the overall world, graphics, voice work and motion capture etc..that was all incredible. But I disliked the storyline.. it just fell flat to me and by the end I ended up not caring about any of the characters like I did in the first game.

^^ One of my first thoughts when playing through Part II was like wow ellie must be really fucking depressed because her personality was so flat and she wasn't saying much. Which would make sense because anybody that's been through killing hundreds of people against their will and watching friend after friend die would probably be about completely silent. I appreciated the drastic change in the character's personality but would have liked to see it 'at certain times' as realistic change in a person's character over time as they got older. They did this on several occasions really well in Part II but over all it sucked. Her rebounding from it with jokes and banter in the first one was like the glimpses back into the world before it collapsed into zombie darkness and was a valuable story telling tool that was incorrectly removed from Part II.

Also in so far as talking about characters who never actually existed, I don't buy the criticisms I've heard that Joel was a selfish garbage-guy. His kid died in front of him during a situation that would have given him ptsd even if she hadn't. The entire world collapsed and there were like 5 different types of zombies running around.

What reasons would he have to trust that the fireflies were competent enough to pull off a vaccine? Because of medical journals and some conversations? Was it the moving graffiti? The things taking place around him throughout the entire duration of the first game pretty much destroyed any remaining trust he'd have in a then desperate and almost eradicated armed political group and he gave his unconscious friend a second chance at life. Because a belief in one-doctor-left and a single solution sounded like shite because it was.
