If it's any consolation, I live with my parents and bought this a few weeks ago. Although, I did the click and collect thing so I collected it from a shop rather than my direct address.

Really sorry to hear about that in the UK. I am not familiar with laws in the UK but based on what you described, it is even worse (when it comes to welfare checks) in regards to police visits and such. Also, I direct my anger towards the pro-life, anti-choice, suicide-prevention people who only make people like us suffer even more. If they ban one method, it won't stop suicidality, but the real suicidals will just resort to other means (and a very select few may even be desperate enough to use means that MAY result in collateral damage). As echoing what "xnoneofyourbusinessx" once said in the now banned SS subreddit, he said that people resort to less peaceful and violent (sometimes dangerous and risky) methods because society doesn't legalize voluntary euthanasia. I would think if the pro-lifers, anti-choicers, suicide-preventionists push us too far, someday, someone, somewhere will push back and/or use means that actually put others at risk (not condoning nor endorsing it ofc) due to dire desperation.

The anti-choice, prohibitionist, anti-suicide, society is one of the major reasons for my wanting to CTB and general disdain for society at large but I digress.

A couple of major points about this incident:

1. It is my understanding that the judge did not allow the video in court. This, of course, was the most compelling piece of evidence. At least somebody at the Mesa AZ police had a conscious and decided to release it on the web, exposing this asshole for the sadistic fuck that he is.

2. So in addition to the need to rightfully fear the police, (don't think for a second that other police departments throughout the USA have not seen this video and are now thinking "Look what we can get away with now!") the integrity of the justice system is now called into question, so any man that has his day in court will be his last day ever, it seems.


'Suicide by cop' is an expression that was started in the U.S. and for good reason: today's police are very trigger happy and / or extremely on edge, so all you need to do is agitate them in any way and you could very well find your brain tissues and scull fragments decorating the pavement.

That said, do not ever attempt a ctb via agitating a cop, ever. He could very well just shoot you and you end up surviving, but paralyzed, with trumped-up charges and jail time thrown in for good measure.

Mesa, AZ is in Maricopa County. Sheriff Joe Arpaio has a long list of human rights violations against him. After being charged and found guilty, Donald Trump pardoned him.
He is now involved in politics.

I'd actually go another path, though same approach..... I'd say "yeah sure you are so kind to check on me. I know you are under a lot of stress and cutbacks. You really protect the public. I must say how much I appreciate this. There's so much crime and danger out there. So you coming to check, it's just amazing. I'm really moved.. it's amazing the work you do. You don't need a solicitor And trust me after that brain fuck of incoherent blabber they won't do a follow up (Just don't be too crazy. It's the "sweet old lady with cats" act...)

TLDR: don't stop talking -- but never on the issue ... You know , like you do here in Sanctioned Suicide

This is more complex / expensive / time consuming, but you could do this :

Find a "reshipper" with a US office.
Order from a US ".com" marketplace, eg south american river
Use the reshipper's US address when ordering on the marketplace.
The reshipper receives the package, then forwards to you.
If the reshipper needs an invoice for customs declaration, then print it from the ecommerce site as a pdf.
To find a reshipper, search for "cross border shipping company".

As @enjolras points out, check the reshipper is willing to ship the item you want to order, since they may have a list of prohibited items.
You may need to try a few to find one that will ship your item.

If the seller doesn't ship to your country, you may be able to use a reshipper (cross border shipping company)
eg If ordering from a US based ecommerce site then find a reshipper with a US office.
Use the reshipper's US address when ordering on the ecommerce site.

Try searching for "cross border shipping company".

Obviously there are no guarantees of something similar not happening, but it will likely buy you a few months (could be longer but who knows), so if your intention were to use the product within a month or two, then it would probably be okay....

I have an experience of using 3-4 of these services the past years, from US to EU
it's a good idea but, in practice, a lot of restrictions are applied, filtering cross-border forwarding. here's a glimpse of it here. The list can be long

sometimes I had my merchandise inspected, blocked, and returned to the sender before being forwarded

That way, they caught me when I distorded the declaration even a little (example, "gift card" while it was really a "prepaid card")

it can be a hit or miss. I'm not sure that SN will make it through, at the first attempt or beyond (sometimes, you'll have to try different companies to finally succeed by chance, if it's about a banned item from the policies)

it must be investigated and tried !

Probably slightly off topic but recently learned that benzos in the UK are a class c drug and possession without a prescription is an offence with a maximum prison sentence of 2 years. Maybe if doctors didn't give out 3 weeks supplies of 2mg diazepam and gave people proper dosages, they wouldn't go elsewhere.

My exact argument with the psychiatrist...Why aren't anti anxiety drugs given at proper doses long term? Because of tolerance and addiction. Doesn't alcohol work on gaba in the brain also and have similar effects to benzos? Yes.

I appreciate your well meaning post, but I want to point out that law enforcement could potentially get people's details from marketplace websites (regardless of what delivery address you use). Then they could pop round a few weeks after the order is dispatched....
At present we don't really know what the risk level of this happening is. It might be low, or it might not be.... Perhaps we'll get a better feel for the risk level as time passes.

As we know, there are various ways of dealing with a situation if law enforcement knocks on your door.
In general, if they don't have a search warrant then you should not invite them in, and you should politely decline if they ask if they can come in.
You might wish to exercise your right to remain silent, which some recommend, or you might, for example, inform them that you changed your mind and threw the item away, etc. Note : Of course, you should not lie. You should either exercise your right to remain silent, or tell the truth.

*However* for some people, having the police knock on the door could cause a lot of family issues / questions, etc.

So just telling people "it'll be fine" may not be the best advice....
Some people may want to wait for a while to see how things develop

I think the issue is the limited supply rather than fear of the police knocking on the door. Yes I'm sure they have MUCH better things to do.
