Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

For all the people who use WaniKani or Anki to learn Japanese and want to discuss it, share their experience, or rant about their reviews.

I've personally been doing WK for a little under a decade but only really got into it recently as my interest in Japanese grew exponentially due to prospects of visiting Japan and wanting to know the language before I go. Previously I was motivated by a dedication to manga/anime/music that wasn't really able to sustain my interest. It's tough and the one thing I've come to realize is that it's better to keep learning new radicals/kanji/vocabulary rather than letting yourself get stuck in reviews. You should, of course, do the reviews, but you're not helping yourself if you don't keep moving forwards because you're bound to forget a few of them here and there.
