I am member since a long time but Currently not that active. Was there something published about this forum in media. The number just exploded. And the ratio is insane. Roughly 200 members online, whereas 2500 lurkers. How comes?

I was on earlier this morning and there were 152 members and 1500 guests. I'm wondering if this is why SaSu was down yesterday.

someone using a lot (hundreds/thousands) of bots to overwhelm a website's servers into being unusable. basically: imagine trying to do your normal, everyday routine in your house, but every few seconds there's something knocking/ringing your doorbell. and when you check, there's no one actually there... but the knocking/ringing continues.
