as great as the thought of dying is, I think money would actually solve quite a few of my problems

I definitely like the revised question. Much better one to ponder. If you take the $100M, suicide is off the table forever. Do you still want it?

100 mil. Enjoy the beautiful things this world has to offer that were previously hidden behind a paywall. A nice world trip for a year for example.
Afterwards give the remaining money to my loved ones or setup a fund for them so they dont gamble/spend it all away instantly :D
Then go back to my original ctb plan if i still feel confident in doing so.
