Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I heard it's peaceful. I heard it takes about 10 days. Thoughts on the method?

All methods are painful, but this one is slow and painful. It would go much quicker if you're a sick elderly person, but even then it's painful. I know one person (he wasn't trying to CTB) who forgot to take liquids often and he urinated blood.

It's a bad idea. It's a very slow and painful death, and you will need to avoid medical help during that time. SI will almost surely kick in.

At some point, fatigue, confusion, dehydration, and weakness and PAIN will force you to drink/eat.

So... I just recently went about five weeks with no food. Technically, in the middle of those 5 weeks I had 3 packs of Ramen to eat... but essentially no food for 5 weeks. I didn't even feel hungry. I am overweight, and lost nearly 50 lbs during that time.

Meanwhile, for the last 2 weeks of those five starving weeks... I had 5 days of no water at all, followed by a little over a week of limited water (maybe a couple of cups a day).

I got to the point at the "end" there where I started passing out sitting in my chair. I ended up in the hospital and on IV for a few days and I probably gained back nearly 10 lbs of fluid that my body needed and then started to feel almost normal again.

So... I didn't feel as bad as I've read some feel... but I lasted WAY longer than I'd read anyone ever lasting without food or water. So 10 days seems unlikely... unless its 10 days without water... then maybe... and also, you have to be really skinny for lack of food to get to you that quickly.

Wow. What a story. The food thing seems absolutely plausible and sort of normal considering you describe yourself as overweight. When it comes to water 5 days is a long time but also not unfeasible. It depends a lot on your condition, though.

Starving from lack of food is in my view essentially impossible because of the time involved. Dying of thirst may be sort of realistic. But a couple of cups per day is a lot. Really way too much. One would need to completely stop consuming water. Then 7-15 days is a realistic timeframe I think.

Out of curiosity:
How did you end up in hospital? Did you call emergency services?
