Lived in Napoli for a few years. Margherita pizzas tend to run around 4-5 euros in the south but if you want one from somewhere famous you'll have to wait in a long line large blob. My favorite thing is that food and wine is very regionalized so as you travel around you can try different places' specialties (rome for carbonara, florence for steak, venice for overcrowded tourism, bologna for general happiness)
Not too sure about where to find natural beauty though.

my ancestors are from there, would be a fitting place to go. thanks for the info. i just think everything about itally looks beautiful, nothing like ugly america. there is some natural beauty in america but nothing like what i see in pictures of italy. i wish i was born there instead of here

It really is, isn't it? I had this exact thought while looking around driving back from the grocery store just the other day.

european architecture looks like it was made for human beings, american architecture looks like it was made by aliens who have no idea what humans need to be happy. i went to quebec once and that was my only taste of it. if i had grown up in a beautiful place like that my life would be different. maybe im idealizing it but around where i live it's just ugly ugly advertisements everywhere poles with wires everywhere ugly cars ugly highways ugly little box stores everyone looks miserable. it looks like the bare minimum of what is needed to keep a society alive. the only beauty around me is typically found on a screen.

pris, I assume you are only talking about the USA, because, as you said yourself, Canada looks different. I had lived in Canada. When I went to the US, I had exactly the experience you just said. Ugly architecture, nothing was beautiful. Even nature was not beautiful after crossing the border. Everything looked so cold. Hardly any people on the street. Everyone was just driving around the city in their way too big cars. No charm at all. I would rather die than live in the USA. For me Europe is the best place to live.

Eh every country has their own problems. The true magic of being a 'Murican is that we can proudly and blissfully ignore other countries' problems and pretend like they are magical places since we tend to never leave North America except for vacation :)
As far as Europe goes I like the eastern block (esp. poland) the best but I don't look for natural beauty. I look for food, booze, sights, and cheapness.
