I have been trying partial hanging for a few days now, and I've been very unsuccessful in closing the carotid (and keeping it closed), 90% of my attempts result in me closing the jugular, and in the other attempts, I believe I closed them, as my vision turns blurry or staticky, and my head feels like it is retaining a normal amount of blood, but that feeling lasts for 5~ seconds and then goes away, and then I start feeling the head explosion feeling associated with closing the jugular. I can feel the pulse on my neck, but even when I position the rope around it, it closes the jugular.

I'm facing this very same problem. I don't know what to do. I liked a lot this method.

It's supposed to be an easy pulse to find. Any pulse you find in your neck is the carotidy. Usually side by side with Addams Apple.

What sensation am I supposed to be feeling then? I don't feel ready to pass out or anything.

My thinking, and I've only go so far as pressing the objects against my neck, but that worked--

I have two chestnuts as they are a good size and shape. I'm gonna use a nice flat stretchy belt to hold them in place and tighten the belt. The chestnuts will direct pressure onto my carotid. Stretchy so that I can comfortably reposition them.

That's the problem. I don't feel it too. It feels the pulse is stronger than my hands so the carotids don't close. But I'll keep trying a few times before I give up.

Oh I see. Please keep updated if you find a solution and best of luck

Can't you die with just closing in the jugular?
