Dutch cows! Moo
The Frisian cattle originated after crossing Frisian and Batavian cattle, and developed into a powerful dairy breed. Dutch cows were popular abroad in the 19th century for their high milk production. In the United States, Dutch cows were further bred. These cows were given the name Holstein-Friesian. In the second half of the 20th century, these American descendants of Dutch cows returned to the Netherlands because they now produced more milk than the Dutch breeds MRIJ and FH. Since then, the black-and-white Holstein-Friesian has been the most important cattle breed in the Netherlands.
