473 🪼 didn't like the lions mane jelly fish. The moon jellies were beautiful and mostly harmless

Never done that! Our sea's not really meant for it anyway. Have you ever been stung by a jellyfish?

Been stung many times, fortunately not by a lethal jelly. The issue with the lions mane is that their tentacles, the part with there stingers, can be so long that you can't see the jellyfish and still get stung.

Our ocean is rough and 40* f so not the ideal conditions. Used to travel 200+ miles to protected waters for most classes. Once a person gets good then we can take them out in the pacific.

Are you a professional diver? Are you familiar with the documentary My Octopus Teacher? They are so intelligent!

I used to teach diving to the general public and the shop had a contract to teach college students. I have over 2000 dives teaching students and over 3000 personal dives. And a couple hundred dives repairing boat hulls and retrieving items lost in the water. I also worked in the shop doing all the repairs and maintainence to all the necessary equipment. I worked for a couple shops but it is so hard to make a living driving in my area. Been a few years since I have dived.

I did not know about My Octopus Teacher but will see if I can get it next time I'm at the ex's place. She has Netflix. On the coast less than an hour away is two different aquariums, one private and one run by the university I live near. I taught the special maneuvers to their maintenence crew. I was called in to assist the dive team and when I got there they found out I wasn't certified to dive in the aquariums tanks. I taught all there divers but there wasn't anyone to teach me. So I grabbed the form and signed off on my dives, that made me legal to dive there.

So you really are an expert in diving! It's a shame it's so difficult to make a living with diving in your area. Hopefully you can dive again soon! Nice, that you could sign off your own dives, epic move! 👏🏻
