Due to my insomnia (I'm awake for two to three days and the next day I sleep for four hours with interruptions), significantly increased anxiety, tinnitus (now I've got a fucking siren sound on my right ear), depression and suicidality my stress level is nearly unbearable. Has somebody got any tips that I could put into action now?

I believe you need depressants. A beer before bedtime maybe?

I take lyrica, so that could lead to complications, I'm also on Bupropion and Opipramol, I don't know if that fits. It's not possible to get benzos for me either. But thanks for your advice.

I see. So youre taking other meds. I understand why alcohol is a no go. If you're taking lyrica, shouldn't it help you with your insomnia? Have you talked to your GP on this?

Unfortunately Lyrica doesn't help at all with my sleeping issues. I even took 225 mg at once out of desperation, but it didn't help. I was just laying in bed three hours and felt pretty drunk, but was still able to go into the kitchen and get a glass of water.

I see. If so, maybe you can ask your GP for an alternative.

Yes, I think it'll end up that way. I'm just so anxious, that I can barely leave the house or make a call. In my country GPs aren't allowed to prescripe something useful, I could only contact my psychiatrist, but my next appointment is in november.

But I don't want to cry around here. There are no other optios, go to a doc or bear it... or suicide.

I feel you. Suffered insomnia before too. I hope your doctor would be able to give you something that helps you with your insomnia.

I love cats, but in my current mental state I can't provide for a cat and it would be selfish to get an animal just for my own well-being. But I occasionally watch some cat videos, which calms me down. Maybe I could get a snake, that could kill me with it's poison :smiling:.

Exercise should help with both anxiety and sleep.
