I'm in the UK and just had a police welfare check after ordering SN just to let people know

It does kinda make sense that they would get welfare checks first, as they would more likely to be ones who recently ordered. But deffo fishy. This is getting suspicious all coming from new accounts
awww shitRing doorbell footage… just want to know if they will now refer to mental health services?
They said they just have to check I'm ok, I said I was and they left pretty quickly to be honest. Just scared now that they'll refer me to mental health services. What did they say to you?
I would be really surprised if they did, considering they didn't do anything. Seems like they just wanted to tick their to do list of.They said they just have to check I'm ok, I said I was and they left pretty quickly to be honest. Just scared now that they'll refer me to mental health services.
Do they have your details? Sounds obvious but you might have used an alias. Are you known to mental health services already? They said they just have to check I'm ok, I said I was and they left pretty quickly to be honest. Just scared now that they'll refer me to mental health services.
Yeah they have my details I used my name, and yes I'm already known to MHDo they have your details? Sounds obvious but you might have used an alias. Are you known to mental health services already?
Yeah ordered from DMC and paid using wiseDo you mind sharing whether or not you ordered from DMC and what payment method you used?
May I ask when you ordered? And when you received it? If something was flagged at customs, how/why did it even leave customs?Well if they take a look at my records that may have flagged things due to being diagnosed with depression recently. They said a parcel had been flagged at customs and they have to visit based on what was ordered
They don't need to make you aware for a referral so it isn't impossible. You'll know if they did if in the coming days if anyone from the NHS reaches out to you.Yeah they have my details I used my name, and yes I'm already known to MH
Yeah ordered from DMC and paid using wise
I'm not in the UK, but can you deny or say no if they try to force you into institutionalized mental health? O__oWell if they take a look at my records that may have flagged things due to being diagnosed with depression recently. They said a parcel had been flagged at customs and they have to visit based on what was ordered
Thank you. We shall see I supposeThey don't need to make you aware for a referral so it isn't impossible. You'll know if they did if in the coming days if anyone from the NHS reaches out to you.
As far as I'm aware there should be nothing further, but since SN is picking up hot press in the media right now I would expect there's going to be an agreement for sharing with MH specialists etc. It would likely go on your record that you purchased it and they conducted a welfare check to cover themselves.
I wouldn't worry about it though, if you were worried about them kicking your door in.
They can, but police powers are limited due to poor funding for law enforcement and healthcare in this country. They can remove you to a hospital for an assessment for 24 hours whereby healthcare professionals can authorise a longer stay. But I've found that healthcare professionals didn't even believe me when I told them the truth, so ymmv but I think it would be laughably easy to go 'I'm fine' and get cleared by the dr. There isn't enough funding on either side.I'm not in the UK, but can you deny or say no if they try to force you into institutionalized mental health? O__o
I'm sorry if my question comes off as ignorant. I'm just not from the UK.
In the US, they have a mental health crisis team in my area, and once they are contacted, you are required to go with them![]()
I get that it's scary to have the police at your door, but at the end of the day, you haven't committed a crime. I'm not entirely clued up on this whole situation about DMC going bust since I got my SN a long time ago, but if law enforcement are onto him you're obviously the victim in this situation and not the person in trouble.Thank you. We shall see I suppose
Interesting points raised. Nitpicking, but the last part sounds very American. No such thing as probable cause in the UK, and there are about a million different powers police can use to enter your home at will lawfully. If there is an imminent risk to life, the door is coming in. Not applicable for general welfare checks though.Just wanted to point out a few things I've noticed, in case it helps others make sense of what's been posted lately.
The accounts that first raised red flags for me were:
All relatively new users, low message counts, and all posting very recently with alarmist welfare check stories. There are inconsistencies between them, odd overlaps in timing, and a general tone that seems more focused on sparking fear than offering usable information. Some of it just doesn't line up but that could be the conspiracy theorist in me.

That said, I've kept an eye on spenshart (https://sanctionedsuicide.site/threads/the-sn-wellness-checks-are-fucking-real.201303)
and nameeater (https://sanctionedsuicide.site/threads/dmc-sn-possible-welfare-check-uk.193254/), and they are more credible. Spenshart's posts read as sincere and consistent. And nameeater has been around for years, always clear in what they share. If anything, their voice lends weight to the possibility that some checks may be happening but not in the widespread, coordinated way these newer accounts are suggesting.
So, yes, it's always smart to be cautious, especially in the UK right now. But I wouldn't take every post at face value. Panic spreads fast, especially when people are already vulnerable. And some of these accounts feel manufactured, or at the very least, like they're running on second hand fear.
I'm not trying to be accusatory. People might be telling the truth, or they might not. But it's important to use media literacy here. Look at patterns. Look at timing. Look at language. Fear spreads easily, especially with prolifers and people who think SaSu is a terrible place. Not every post is made in good faith, and not everyone here is who they say they are, I'm sure.
Owning SN isn't illegal. The police can't enter your home without a warrant or probable cause. Don't let scare posts push you into rushed decisions. This might help you if you're worried about how to explain having SN.
I'm not from the UK, I'm in New Zealand, so my legal lingo skews more general. I suppose 'reasonable grounds' is more correct if we wanna get nitpicky re: location, as that's what it is here so I'm assuming the UK is the same.Interesting points raised. Yes, exactly. You said exactly what I was thinking. Thank you!Just wanted to point out a few things I've noticed, in case it helps others make sense of what's been posted lately.

I ordered about 2 weeks ago but on the old site so that delayed my order as DMC lost my address. I received it last Friday. I literally have no idea how it works, they even said it's not illegal to have or order but when individuals order it they have to follow it up
Yea this really seemed fishy. I highly doubt anyone would care if I bought SN.Just wanted to point out a few things I've noticed, in case it helps others make sense of what's been posted lately.

How do you think they knew what was inside package it to flag it up? Does it look dodgy?I'm in the UK and just had a police welfare check after ordering SN just to let people know
