Help trying to write my note

hii , this is my first ever post so please excuse me if my etiquette isn't quite right. i am really struggling to write a note, i'm not quite sure what to put in it, but i do know i want to write one. i know i want to assure my family & friends that nobody is at fault for it and that nobody has failed me. i want to include more than that but im just not sure how to even start. does anyone have any advice ? i know a stranger cant tell me exactly how to write something so personal but i am just looking for general suggestions if anyone has any :•( i had a failed attempt 3 years ago and never wrote any kind of note for it and i think the aftermath of that situation kind of made me realize i do really want to leave a note
